Do not be put off by the negative reviews. I was a little unsure after reading the 1 star reviews. I purchased the stethoscope. I received it and it works fine. It is a great item for the money. It is a little tight but I am a larger guy.

I didn't expect it to be built this well for the price. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the sound you hear is lower than higher quality stethoscopes. If you have good hearing then go for this one. The included 2nd ear piece worked better for us than then one that came installed. Overall this is a really good product that gets the job done and costs a fraction of the competition. ... show more

Not only did these end up coming 3 days late, but then to find out they are garbage on top of that. They didn't come up together and there were no instructions. I mean it wasn't rocket science, but some kind of paperwork is always nice. Then the biggest issue.....my poor ears. The earpieces could have had little stones all around them for how they felt when I tried putting them on my ears to hear....which you can't do either. I mean I get the are super cheap, but I figured they just wouldn't last long. I didn't think they wouldn't work at all. If you are looking for a costume prop them these are 5 stars. If you are looking to actually use them, buy something else. ... show more

I'm not a medical professional, just bought these for my own curiosity, as I have a genetic heart condition and thought it would be cool to hear what the doctor's/nurses hear. Hence the 3 stars...I heard nothing (in a very quiet room), unless I brushed the bell against something, that sound was amplified, but couldn't hear my heart. Maybe it wasn't beating at the time. *JOKING* I also tried it on my pets, couldn't hear theirs, either. Might be fun to use as an older child's toy, or as part of a costume. Of course for the price, I wasn't expecting a whole lot either. ... show more
