Love these shorts. Material quality is good. The pocket size may be just a touch too long and the pocket sticks out just a little when seated. They’re lightweight and very comfy. If you’re between getting the 5.5” and 4” just get the 4” because they’re more flattering than you’d expect. I’v worn a few times and the washability is perfectly fine.

I normally wear a size Large in Bearbottom shorts, but the Maamgic 34 actually fits me better—more tailored around the waist and hips. I don’t have massive thighs, so I appreciate that the leg opening on these isn’t too wide; they have a more flattering, streamlined fit. I ordered the Cyan Grey color expecting more of a blue-grey tone, but in person, it leans more toward a green-grey. Not a dealbreaker though—they still look great and versatile. The materials and construction seem solid and durable, so I’m confident they’ll hold up well over time. Overall, I’m satisfied with the purchase and plan to buy a few more pairs. Just be aware the color might be a bit different than expected.

These are good Chubbies dupes, not perfect, but good. They are slightly longer (about 1/2 inch) and the material is notably inferior, but it still has a nice feel and is comfortable. The pockets are cut a little different (straight vs slanted with Chubbies) and they sit a little longer when you turn the shorts inside out. That being said, the pockets are not visible with a phone in the pocket while standing, but may be visible if you sit down with the phone still in your pocket. Overall, for the price, definitely a good alternative option out there if you like the 4" Chubbies look.

I barely ever write reviews on amazon, but honestly, I gotta say that these shorts are PERFECT. True to size, feels like a quality piece of clothing, and looks great. I bought three pairs, and will probably buy the rest of the colors since they're that good. Perfect length, nice that they're elastic but you can still dress them up with a belt - donating the balance of my shorts after these arrived. UPDATE: 3 weeks later, and I did actually order all other colors, and another pair of white ones cause… they’re white and I’m a slob. I’ve gotten real, actual compliments on these shorts when wearing them out in public. Seriously, best amazon find ever.
