Please read this if you have dry skin! While visiting Japan, I went to a Korean skincare salon in Asakusa. This (ma:nyo pure cleansing oil) was what was offered as one of the products to cleanse my skin with prior to the facial I had done. After using it, my skin felt far more hydrated and not oily whatsoever. I don't wear makeup so I can't attest to its makeup removability, but my skin felt very clean and refreshed. When I returned home, I bought it immediately and have been using it ever since. Since this is an oil-based cleanser, you must emulsify it. Start by applying the oil cleanser to a dry face. Gently massage your face with the oil, ensuring you get in the creases at the sides of your nose and your hairline. It is smooth and glides well on the skin. Then, wet your hands and continue massaging gently. You will notice that the oil cleanser turns from a clear, golden color into a milky liquid. Continue adding water as needed. Then, wash it off your face completely. Take your time! It is a good practice to double cleanse with a non-oil based cleanser afterward. This also ensures that no oil is left behind. (Please note it has an herbal, spa-like scent). If you have dry skin like me, I highly recommend this product!

I will be repurchasing! I have extremely dry skin, so I have been looking for a cleanser that doesn’t further dry out my skin ! This product has not caused any breakouts, which is something I was initially concerned about. The product does have a slight citrus scent, but it doesn’t seem to cause any irritation to my skin, which is great! The bottle was a bit smaller than I expected, but overall I am happy with the quality of the product, and will be repurchasing in the future!

I feel this is more of a makeup remover than a face wash. Leaves oily residue on skin but it does make your skin feel soft. I use it to remove my waterproof makeup.
