    • flowmeter is exactly as described
I used this flowmeter to make an instrument to measure breath flow and pressure. The control valve is useful to set the back pressure and the floating bead measures a good range of useful flow. It's probably possible to breath out air faster than this device can measure, but that wasn't necessary for my use. Pressure was measured with a pressure gauge, a different Amazon purchase.     • It works as a flowmeter or as a valve, but not both at the same time
With the needle valve fully open and externally limited flow, the flow measurement is stable and the readings plausible. Sadly, when I try using the valve to adjust flow rate, the ball starts vibrating rapidly and tends to get "stuck" at some level. This makes the readings completely unreliable.
