I got this to use with my Audio Technica ATR-2500 it was a little hard to fit due to there being a 3.5mm jack on the center front of the mic but off setting it to either side by a centimeter fixed that problem. This holds my mic steady and firm in place and cuts down far better than previous mounts I have used on movements sounds. They are still present but no longer louder than me when I talk. I'm writing this as a courtesy to ST55 owners. There are a handful of reviews that suggest this rig works with said microphone and they are partially true. The thread is the correct size, however the outside diameter of the threaded piece is greater than inside diameter of the mic. It grabs about 2 threads before it bottoms out (see pictures) and that leaves a very wobbly mic. Not ideal. That being said, this is a nicely built product. Ive tried more expensive versions of this, and this has by far held up just fine. I may not be be using the worlds heaviest microphone, but it does hold my Blue Spark with no issues. Pros, inexpensive, feels sturdy, tightens down well. Cons, paint in threads for microphone seemed kind of thick of thick, so had to work with the mic a bit to get everything smooth. Fits my akg perception 420 like a glove! I lost the original one that came with the mic. It was pretty difficult to find a shock mount for this 53mm mic, but this one is perfect!
