They hold up a large quantity of boxes…many of those boxes are heavy. Total dimension is 18’’D x 48’’W x 72’’H. 5 tiers. The poles are strong but not bulky. Each pole is 1’’ in diameter. They have lines or grooves on the pole so each tier can be adjusted based on the desired height. The rack is made of carbon steel. It gives off a very secure organization set up - like a professional restaurant. Each layer can hold up to 600 lbs. I also love the wheels that attach to each base of the pole. It’s easy to move around when there is already stuff and boxes stacked on each shelf. The wheels are sturdy and thick. They can be locked in place. I can also take out the wheels to anchor the whole rack in one place. I started to build my garage with vertical storage space. This whole rack system is just perfect. The poles are strong and don’t bend or sway when I move the rack around or store many heavy boxes for months now. Everything is chrome plated so it has a glossy surface that looks professional. The surface layer also helps with scratches and corrosion. It takes me a while to put everything together, not because it’s hard to put together, but because its big and long. The instruction booklet is clean and clear - very simple. Cleaning is easiest! Just with a damp cloth and everything can be wiped away. I plan on getting another one. Excellent rack!!

Was squeamish but gave this brand a try. Got 2 of the 48x18x72(74?) with wheels, 4 shelves. Normally used to buying the ungodly expensive ones from Metro commercial. These are not quite as heavy duty as those but they are pretty close. Wire gauge is slightly smaller than the Metro ones, but the direction of the wires that actually support the items on the shelf run perpendicular to the length (the long side) of the shelf just like the heavy duty Metro (vs the lower strength and lower cost InterMetro shelves where the main wires run parallel to the length of the shelf - one of the main differences (I went to the container s t o r e to confirm this). The other difference between the Metro and InterMetro is the wire gauge, thinner on InterMetro) Anyway, these came and were very well packaged. NO damage. Heavy box, good protection for all parts with plastic between them. Heavy zip ties holding everything together. Clear and bright chrome plating. Sturdy shelves, poles, wheels, and clips. Poles screwed together perfectly - can see the seam unless you look hard for it. Clips click in place like they are supposed to. Wheels rolled well. Locks work well. Even included some flimsy but useful hanging clips to hang things on the sides of the shelves. Two thumbs up. Buying 3 more. Probably will be beat to heck after my glowing review!

UPDATE: Customer Service contacted me regarding the bent shelf and made things right. The shelves do still have some bend in them which I am not a huge fan of, but for the price and with the customer service I'll take it from 2 star to 4 star. And since I need more I'll buy another. ORIGINAL: Box was scratched but not damaged to the point that this level of bend should have happened in transit. The metal seems strong so this bend would have required tremendous force unlikely in shipping. That said, now that it is bent I'm worried about structural integrity, especially with these shelves being constructed in a way where a lot of their strength comes from specific angles and weld points. I contacted support on their website per instructions provided and have received no response. I ordered two total units of this and only one of them had 1 shelf damaged, I didn't even ask for a new unit just 1 replacement shelf and got no response, so I'm not impressed with customer service at this point. The sad thing is that I'm considering ordering 2 more shelves, but if I don't get a response, I have to find some other company to get a shelf from.

Today, I tried setting up one of the shelving units I purchased a few months ago ( life is busy with a disabled husband and watching grandkids during the week). Unfortunately this unit did not come with the shelf clips. Because I know from a purchase of a different shelving unit that was missing was pair of wheels, I would need to return the whole unit and purchase a new one in order to get the missing parts, and also because I missed the return window, I just had to put in an order for some clips so I can finish setting up the shelf unit. Be sure to unpack right away and make sure you have all the required pieces!

Easy to assemble, looks great, massive amount of storage. It came with extra clips if extra shelves are needed in the future and came with hooks for hanging, both unexpected features but very appreciated. I would buy again if the space was available. Worth the money
