The small box has hardware, tool, instructions, and all the pieces to build a simple platform. I put it together by myself without the directions, because it’s just that simple. I bought 16” tall storage bins and they fit perfectly underneath (I bought the 18” tall frame). At 200lbs plus the temperpedic (sp) mattress, it is holding up well. Plenty of storage space below that really helped declutter the room. It was pricey for something so simple, but it functions the way I need it to function. So simple. This frame is great in so many ways: sturdy, easy to assemble, the perfect height for us. It’s a good value for the price and the lack of a headboard or footboard opens up space in your bedroom. I love that you can store bins and things under the bed. I only have three complaints. 1- The middle side leg comes to the edge of the bed and is a definite toe-eater. It’s not pleasant. Curse words ensue. 2- There are no side bars. If you have split king mattresses, this bed frame will do its very best to ensure you can’t cuddle with your partner without drifting away from each other. 3- While the frame was originally almost silent, it didn’t take it long to develop many creaks and groans. Overall, even with its quirks, I’m happy with the purchase, but I’ll probably look for something different next time. ... show more

Easy to assemble and strong framing. Nice and light for what you get. My older one began to droop in the center after time, because of design flaw that didn't support the middle section. The supports are just were they should be with this design.
