I was not expecting Aromafume Lunar Goddess to smell so good! It is rich and peppery and powdery. The description says it has jasmine, amber, saffron, amberwood and cedarwood. I smell all of these except the jasmine. I don’t smell any sweet or floral. The scent was very familiar to me. At first I thought I had already ordered Lunar Goddess and had forgotten about it. As I thought about it more, I realized it smells almost like the Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe that I have. Except Lunar Goddess doesn’t have the light floral sweetness – the jasmine. But I’m okay with that. Tere is more emphasis on the rich, dark notes. I love that Lunar Goddess has a strong aura. I can smell it on myself for several hours. It lasts even longer on clothes. The name is perfect because it is dark and mysterious and powerful. It is a perfect scent for going out for the evening and date nights. I also love that Aromafume uses some essential oils, rather than only man made fragrances. This perfume is really wonderful and a great value. It has good longevity, projection, and a complex, layered scent experience. 5 stars!

The jasmine stands out at first, with a light spicy-earthy base from the oakmoss that makes it a bit more unique than a typical floral perfume. I don’t spray it directly on my skin since I prefer to avoid anything that might irritate my pores, so I usually apply it on clothing instead. Because of that, the scent stays pretty close and doesn’t project strongly. It lasts a few hours but fades faster than stronger perfumes. The size is really convenient for travel and I like that it’s alcohol-free and feels a bit gentler.

I REALLY wanted to like it, but sadly, I did not. Too bad!! Cute box, cute bottle, 10 ml decent sized, spray function works perfectly. Alas, the smell....I cannot describe it, except to say that I smell NO jasmine (the supposed top note), and it just smells really acrid and spicy, but not in a good way. I was hoping it would smell mystical and floral, but that is not what my nose is picking up. Sorry. I won't be wearing this fragrance.

This is an alcohol free perfume. The description says it's primarily made of essential oils, and offers a "cleaner" experience. But if you look at the actual ingredient list, it is full of synthetic ingredients. Most alcohol free, essential oil based perfumes have basically two ingredients: essential oils and a carrier oil. But although this feels very oily going on, it is made up of mostly water. It also has more synthetic ingredients than it has essential oils. It is supposed to be a floral perfume, but it is very woody and smells more like synthetics than any pure oil. I love jasmine, which this is supposed to smell like, but I get zero floral notes or any jasmine like aroma when I smell it. It smells fake. Here is what the box lists: "Ingredients : Aqua / Water / Eau, Parfum / Fragrance, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Jasminum Grandiflorum Flower Extract, Crocus Sativus Extract, Juniperus Virginiana Oil, Methyl Dihydrojasmonate, Ambroxide, BHT, Limonene, Linalool, Eugenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Isoeugenol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citral, CI 60730" Most of those are solvents, synthetic fragrances, or sunscreen. I see only one ingredient that constitutes a true essential oil. This scent also only lasts a few hours before it fades away. I do like the fact that it comes in a reusable, amber glass spray bottle. But I do not like that the scent is nowhere near as described, that it is not floral, and that it is made of mostly synthetic ingredients. It is also way more expensive per ounce than many of the alcohol free, essential oil based perfumes I have purchased in the past that are made of just essential oils, a carrier oil, and maybe some DPG to enhance scent longevity. I feel like the way the product page describes both the scent itself and its make up is misleading, and that this is in no way a "cleaner" or "more natural" version of perfume. This product is not at all what I was expecting from how the product page described it.

This Lunar Goddess perfume has a wonderfully balanced scent that is potent without being overpowering. A little spritz is all I need to smell great and the scent lasts for a long time. The jasmine note is forward in this scent blend. Behind it is an earthy scent that I believe is the oakmoss. There's also something a bit spicy or herbal which I think is saffron but this note is understated in comparison to the floral and earthy notes of the jasmine and oakmoss. I love the scent of this perfume. It's comforting and a little dreamy. I find it relaxing and beautiful.
