The sturdy all-metal light and *replaceable bulb* are what sold me on these path lights. I also like the long pigtail. That said, the width of the china hat ended up not working for us on path steps but were terrific in the landscaped islands where there's more room. And they look great, with plenty of light cast out and down. A design pet peeve of mine is homeowners who DYI their outdoor lighting but use the wrong lumens and therefore then install too many lights, lining them up close together like tin soldiers. Higher lumens and fewer lights always look better. These are all that. (On the back path steps where the china hat would've been cramped and easily damaged, we ended up using bollard low voltage lights that nicely compliment these Luminia path lights). We also used well lights to illuminate the mailbox, a tall front tree, several for the side of the house instead of spots; purely preference, since well lights are smaller and more inconspicuous. The install went easier with the double Sunvie fastlock 2connectors that I then wrapped in electrical tape for extra waterproofing. The hardest part of the install was digging 6" down to bury 200 ft. of 14 gauge trunk wire from back to front. Whew. Thank goodness, the lights themselves are an easy install. ... show more

I bought 16 lights from the seller. I kept my old backyard lights and just added to them. So there are mixed styles. But what I like about these are that they are very soft. Meaning when you look at them you don’t see a bright light but due to the wide top it illuminates the ground around it in a wider arc. We had two lights that were not working and the seller replaced them very quickly. I am going to add a few more lights and I will be buying these. There are some cheaper lights out there, but I’m glad I spent just a little more money for these. It was worth it. ... show more

4 stars because out of the 8 I bought, one of the plastic stakes broke so be careful when pushing in the ground

Love the look with the option to raise or lower with attachments. With the tall installed, cast about 10' light. 3 lights have died. I have used with others that I didn't install. I want to like them, but failing lights prevents me from recommending them to others.

    • Have had to replace 5 LED Bulbs from first order.
Bulb replacement after 3 months which is expensive. Easy to install an good construction. Like the product but LED's replacements are expensive and that is the reason for the 3 star overall rating.

    • Easy to assemble, rugged, and nice lighting
These light fixtures need a little assembly, but it's simple and they go together quickly. I was particularly happy to find an economical pathway light with replaceable bulb. These use a G4 base LED. The other nice feature is the ability to select from two different heights. The metal post and top are fairly rugged. When I was inserting these into the ground, I was able to give a fairly strong push from the top with no give on the part of the metal hats. The spikes are rugged plastic. They are plenty adequate for a secure light installation. Just be careful not to push/pull sideways on the light fixture after installing in the ground if you're trying to nudge it to get it perfectly plumb as you can damage the threads. I did this with one of mine, and that was totally my fault. The amount of light spread is fairly broad so these fixtures provide ample lighting. They work well even at a spacing of about 8 feet. ... show more
