For starters I purchased this for our landscape company to pump a 33gal drum of glyphosate into smaller containers. It worked OK, and does hold up to corrosive chemicals however it has its list of problems. For starters it leaks like crazy when it is being pumped regardless of how gentle you are, it also claims to be universal to fit most drums but it has popped out of or drum on several occasions while pumping and has ruined the threads. Im hoping it will hold up for the season until we find an alternative.

This pump will not thread into a 55 gallon drum without buying a bung adaptor. The poorly designed base nut prevents the treads from bottoming out so if you try to pump the threads will get damaged.

The pump body works well alone. Adding the first section of supplied pipe it still works. Adding the last section it will not work at all. I think it cannot lift the weight of the water column. I am going to get a converter to reduce the pipe diameter to a garden hose and try it again when I put the water barrel back outside in the spring.

This is a very reliable pump that we use to get water out of 55 gallon barrels. The water pumps out at a fairly good rate. This is our water supply at the hunting cabin.

Worth the money but you will need a bung adapter to make it work. Threads on pump are correct but you can not get enough thread contact without bung adapter so the pump is really going to cost about $15 more once you include adapter.

The product works well, very light weight. I'm not sure it would hold up well to hard constant use as it is plastic. But time will tell.
