The reviews and instructions said that it could take up to two weeks for it to reach its full size. It also said that the process could be expedited with proper "fluffing." It was a very tedious process, but it was nearly to its full size within a few hours of getting it out of the package. This picture was taken 24 hours after the unboxing. It has nearly been two weeks since I unboxed it, and it has retained its size. After lying down and then standing up, it doesn't fully return to the same shape, but all I have to do is rotate the bag 90 degrees, and it is back to the way it appears in the picture. I was not sure if it was worth the price, but now that I own it, I am grateful that I bought it. I was also told that washing the cover could be cumbersome, and cause it to shrink. However, I followed the care instructions for laundering it when I first unboxed it, and the cover fits just fine. We got the 7ft Bean Bag on 8/30/22, it came in a tiny compact zipped case which was extremely difficult to get the product out, wish the zipper released further to make it easier. Then had to break up the compact square of foam pieces. Definitely a workout. Once done it is absolutely huge and comfy. My two boys, husband, and I really like it aside from the smell. I sprayed bag with frebreze & washed the cover, it still has a lingering smell that filled the room 8/31, but washing the cover is a must. Hoping the smell gets better over time because the odor is awful. You go nose blind after 15-20 minutes unless you try smelling the bag intentionally then the smell is still there. Read mixed reviews about the smell staying & going away, going to give this a few weeks to see if it improves. Fingers crossed! ... show more

This bean bag contains an awful quality of memory foam that never broke up and self inflated, no matter how much we "jumped on it" "beat it" or whatever. I had to do the breaking myself which took hours every night for atleast a week. Its not comfy and was one my worst buys. Hate it and its hard to even get rid of it. ... show more

It's a great bean couch, but the off gassing is terrible. The first week or two the memory foam filling smelled strongly of shrimp. I couldn't be near it for long without getting a sore throat. After many videos and reviews of reviews, I finally landed on Lumaland. I'm glad I did. It's super comfy and fully expanded within the first 2 days. And yeah, definitely a workout to break the pieces inside apart so they can expand. It's heavy (as expected) but manageable to move around and refluff. Did have an odor at first but has dissipated now. Only other slight comment though, I ordered Navy and received more of a teal color but it's ok too, I have that in my decor so no biggy. My boyfriend hated that I bought it because it's a big blob on the floor vs a rigid sofa, but he's been napping on it almost every night. ... show more

I bought this bag last year and it was $200, I recently had to move and my bag got punctured, so I thought I would just buy another one. Yes they are pricey but worth it!. Then I see the price of the bag has gone up by $100 in the span of a year. This is ridiculous and greedy. $10? Ok I get it, $20? Yes I still understand. Even $50 is understandable because the price of everything is rising, but to increase the price of this bag by an extra $100 is absolutely ludicrous. ... show more
