This thing works great! My bathroom sink drain has been running slow for months, and the little plastic snake we use to pull out hair clogs wasn't coming up with much. When I got this plunger, I filled up the sink, opened the drain, and started pumping with the plunger on the drain. The first thing that happened was that a bunch of gross goo blasted out of the overflow drain. This increased the water flow out the main drain, because a clogged overflow drain is like when you take a soda bottle and turn it upside down. The water has a hard time flowing out smoothly if there is no way for air to easily get in behind the water in the bottle. Then I filled up the sink again and plunged the main drain, which boosted the flow even more. Now the water just flows right out. Anyway, the thing has really good suction and pressure. ... show more

This works great with a single drain suction. For my tub, it didn’t work at all. I think it’s because the bathtub has a second pipe that extends into the top of the tub to prevent flooding. Well that also prevents the suction from being able to take place because it’s just pushing air through that second pipe preventing it from being able to create the proper vacuum pressure needed for suction. I just got this today and I put it to work immediately. My bathroom sink has been draining very very slowly the past few weeks. I had decided to disconnect the piping under the sink to unclog it when I came across this simple gadget while browsing through Amazon. I turned on the sink faucet and let water accumulate for a while and then I put the tool over the drain hole and started pumping gently, maybe 4 or 5 times. This fixed a slow bathroom sink drain relatively easily. I'd recommend putting about of tablespoon of dishwashing liquid down the drain, and using hot water. There's a slight learning curve to using this plunger, but it didn't take too long to get into a groove with it. Once you figure it out, it's excellent. The material seems sturdy too. I have had problems with a bathroom sink off and on, so I bought this. I don't currently have a problem. Needing to know if it works so I could return it if not, we tried it on the sink. Nothing happened. I thought it might bring hair up, but nothing. Then we tried it in the shower. Again, nothing happened and nothing came up. But boy did we hear "things" in the plumbing in that room when we used it. That makes me think it probably does work, just don't have a problem currently to try it on.
