Luggex Hard Shell Luggage with Aluminum Frame and Latches Review I bought the 26”/20” set for an upcoming trip and I wanted one with 360-degree wheels and latches (I’m so tired of zippers). The luggage is quite attractive and I really like the navy color. It’s a refreshing change from all my previous black luggage. The latches do feel a little cheap but they work fine. Resetting the passcode is very simple but the numbers are so small and they are recessed limiting the amount of light that’s available to see the small numbers. I had to use a flashlight to see them better. The interior is nicely lined and the dividers between the two halves of the suitcase have useful pockets. A feature I haven’t seen before is that the divider extends from the edge of the suitcase toward the interior. The zipper in the interior is about 2” in from the interior wall of the suitcase creating a nice lip. I think this keeps the clothing better positioned. UPDATE 2 This company is serious about customer service and it stands behind its products. LuggeX contacted me about the damage my suitcase sustained after using it for the first time. The company stated it is unusual for their luggage to crack like that and graciously offered to replace it for no cost to me. I definitely accepted. I have bumped the product rating from 3 to 4 stars because of the extraordinary customer service but I can’t give the product five stars because of the damage sustained during the first time I checked the bag. The company stands behind its products. Customer service by LuggeX is five stars. The interior divider also has two pouches that have zippers to secure the contents. In suitcases I have previously owned, the fastener to secure the clothes is elastic with a clasp. This is easy to use but the elastic will eventually dry and lose its elasticity. In Luggex, the strap length must be adjusted manually, like a cinch. The positive to this is I don’t have to worry about the elastic drying out. I measured the 26” piece and here are the dimensions I got: Exterior: 27” L x 19.5” W x 11.5” D. This is a total of 58 linear inches, four inches below the maximum checked baggage size of 62”. Interior: 25” L x 18” - Storage on both sides of the case. Weight: 10.5 pounds The 20” carry-on luggage measured as follows: Exterior: 21” L x 15” W x 9” D. this is a total of 45 linear inches. The maximum for airline carry-on baggage. Interior: 19” L x 13.5” W - Storage on both sides of the case. UPDATE AFTER FIRST USE I am disappointed. After one trip, the 26” bag has cracked (see pictures). This suitcase was checked with airlines and didn’t make it through one trip without becoming cracked. Fantastic luggage. Very sturdy wheels can roll over just about any obstacle. Luggage that will last many years. Many compliments on this luggage from fellow travelers and airport security. Highly recommended. Just be aware that the seller I bought from sent me an email one week after my purchase with the subject line: "There is a problem with your order." I received this message while on vacation. That message immediately sent me into a panic. The "problem" with my order wasn't real. The seller abused Amazon's email system which is designed to assist in solving ACTUAL problems, not to solicit positive feedback. Sellers who abuse Amazon's email system need to be called-out. I made it clear to Amazon and to the seller of this awesome luggage that abuse of such a contact method simply to request positive feedback is dishonest, abusive, and certainly a turn-off for me as a buyer. They’re very study and high quality luggage. Yes they’re pricey, but they’re well worth it given how well they protect your belongings. If you’re looking for high quality protection this is it. They’re also very sleek, I get lots of compliments when traveling with them as they aren’t as common. Zipper luggage is old news, this is a great product that I’d definitely recommend.     • Latches are plastic!

Just received the 20" carry-on in light blue. Nice color. Seems sturdy and good seal well closed. Nice aluminum corners, aluminum hinges...but latches are plastic! I've gone through many suitcases and wanted something more durable and secure for international travel. Soft sided luggage seems to last the longest but invariably there is some plastic component that gets ripped off or broken. I wanted the latches since they are more secure than zippers but I wouldn't trust these plastic ones not to break. I see other reviews that have used this suitcase for travel without issue. But is always ok...until it isn't. I really like everything else about this suitcase, though, and for the price I will just use a luggage strap for piece of mind. LuggeX...if you're listening please upgrade to metal latches! ... show more

I had already purchased a larger size of this same suitcase. I liked that one and wanted the same thing in a smaller size, so I obviously liked the product. One star off for durability because the larger version has already lost a little plastic stand thingy on the bottom (don't know what they're called) from my last trip, but who knows what the suitcase went through with the baggage handlers. I actually bought this as a gift for a family member, and we both went on a short 3-day trip this past weekend. This is an excellent carry-on. It has plenty of space, is lightweight, rugged, and beautiful and well as functional. It fits perfectly in an overhead bin, and I like that it has latches instead of zippers. The only thing I didn't like had nothing to do with the luggage, but the method of shipping by Amazon. They had chosen to ship it by Parcel Pool, which took 2 weeks to get here, instead of the normal Prime shipping of 2=3 days. A shoutout to Luggex Customer Service. To the seller's credit, they contacted me because they were concerned about the shipping and how long it took to get to me. As it turned out, it arrived in perfect condition. ... show more
