    • Latches are plastic!

Just received the 20" carry-on in light blue. Nice color. Seems sturdy and good seal well closed. Nice aluminum corners, aluminum hinges...but latches are plastic! I've gone through many suitcases and wanted something more durable and secure for international travel. Soft sided luggage seems to last the longest but invariably there is some plastic component that gets ripped off or broken. I wanted the latches since they are more secure than zippers but I wouldn't trust these plastic ones not to break. I see other reviews that have used this suitcase for travel without issue. But is always ok...until it isn't. I really like everything else about this suitcase, though, and for the price I will just use a luggage strap for piece of mind. LuggeX...if you're listening please upgrade to metal latches! ... show more

I had already purchased a larger size of this same suitcase. I liked that one and wanted the same thing in a smaller size, so I obviously liked the product. One star off for durability because the larger version has already lost a little plastic stand thingy on the bottom (don't know what they're called) from my last trip, but who knows what the suitcase went through with the baggage handlers. Great first impression. I didn’t expect much since reviews were mixed. The auto fold handles are great, rolls smooth, but the locks are plastic. What I like most about this suitcase is it's weight which is super light for its size. It has the capacity to hold a lot, smooth wheels, easy locks, durable handles, and durable outer shell.
