I got this so that my roommates and I could play Wii on our projector. When we first set it up it worked perfectly. After accidentally leaving it on all night it stopped working, changing the battery didn’t help, so we thought it was done for. But after a few days we tried again and it was working just fine, our thoughts were that maybe it just can’t handle being left on for long periods of time. Overall: Somewhat satisfied. Works well as a backup for Wii/Wii U Motion Bar with accurate Motion controls. Unfortunately, my intent was to get a Motion Bar which will be compatible with Dolphin for use with Emulation and Bluetooth was unable to discover this device. Will be looking at buying a USB plug instead. No wires is nice, but 4x AAA Batteries will add up overall cost for usage over time. Pros: No wires; Works perfectly on Legacy Wii/Wii U (No set-up required, works out-of-the-box) Cons: PC Bluetooth cannot discover Sensor Bar (unable to play using Dolphin or equivalent Emulators on PC)*; 4x AAA Batteries (no USB or Power Cable connection available) will add additional cost over time *Will continue to test on other PCs and report back if able to successfully connect. ... show more

I've used this on both a Wii and WiiU and had equal success. I tested it with Ghost Squad, RE: Umbrella Chronicles, and House of the Dead 2&3 Return, and had no noticeable performance issues with accuracy or response. I've played a bit over 8 hours so far and I'm still using my original set of batteries (4x Energizer Max AAA). Although battery life is good, if you play your console pretty regularly, I think using rechargeable batteries would be a good addition. Just for giggles I moved the sensor bar at the top and bottom and didn't notice any change in behavior; I didn't expect anything, but thought I'd give it a try. The one thing I think may not wear so well long-term is the mounting system. The mounting bracket is a clear piece of plastic with adhesive on one side and a right-angle "C" shaped recess that allows the sensor to be mounted on the top or bottom of the TV. The part I'm not so sure about is a pair of pegs at the side opposite the adhesive with a pair of circular plastic pegs that fit into the battery side of the sensor bar. The fit is actually really snug so far and it's not having any problems staying attached; however, I do wonder how that will wear over time after it has been detached & reattached to replace batteries a bunch. The quick & easy remedy would just be to mount the bracket so the "C" shaped recess points outward and you could just tuck the sensor bar in there, but I inadvertently put it on and the recess points backwards, so the pegs are how I have it mounted now. Aside from that minor nitpick, I think it's a great little accessory to clean up wires or replace a 1st party bar. ... show more
