Well if you’d like to see a kid get excited over a new dinosaur - you have to look no further! I think what makes this such a winner is that it is remote controlled. Our sons love it. It’s a little hard to control because it is a little jerky but that doesn’t matter much to our kids. I will warn you - it’s impressively loud and with no volume control. It’s on, or it’s off. My only complaint is that the remote control doesn’t just turn off. There is no on off button. And the instructions don’t give you any info on that either. ... show more

My daughter has recently taken an interest in dinosaurs, so I thought this would be a fun gift for her. She was scared at first by the roaring and lights, but after a few minutes she was dancing around it and talking to it and imitating it! It was very cute. It came in nice packaging and was simple to get up and running. I shopped around for a remote control dinosaur and they are all around the same price as this. There are less expensive ones but they don't have the steam function. I'm glad I spent a little more for that, because it's pretty cool. I like that it comes with 2 rechargeable batteries for the dinosaur. Some things to keep in mind with this toy: the dinosaur movements are very fast and jerky. There is no sensitivity with the remote; you hit a button and it's full power! It makes controlling the dinosaur a little tricky because it is not heavy and the quick movements make it tilt back and forth. It doesn't quite tip over, but you sometimes have to stand it back flat on its feet. There is no volume control. It's either off or loud (but not ridiculously loud). It comes with instructions, but it seems as if there are some pages missing. It doesn't explain how to add the water or how to turn the remote off and on or the fact that the sound button has different roars, etc. I was able to figure it all out (there is a cap on the head you remove to add water) but it might be good if they added that information. It doesn't come with the two AA batteries needed for the remote (the description doesn't say they are included, but I didn't see where it says they aren't included). The main picture in the description shows two dinosaurs. When I first saw the listing, I thought you would get two dinosaurs, but after reading more, I saw it's only one. I add that for impulse shoppers who don't read the fine print! All in all, this is a simple and fun toy. It makes a great gift at a reasonable price. ... show more

The little boy in my life loves dinosaurs and this one is one of his favorites. I'm not sure if it's because of the water spraying or the fact he can use the remote to play with it. Price point isn't bad because of the different features it has.
