The blinds are gorgeous. The are white metal slats, which will bend and crease easily but they are lite weight and super easy to install with the screws on each side which are then hidden with the covers. There is no need for drilling while installing this cordless window blind, making it a very simple process. For a precise fit, I would most definitely advise measuring your window. The blind fit my window precisely in terms of measurement. This product is of excellent quality, and I appreciate that it is a cordless window blind, which increases safety when using it near children. This blind is attractive and appears to be sturdy. The tension factor is very strong/tight. Unfortunately, I miscalculated and ordered the wrong size--it is just a tad too big to fit into my windows, though I could fit it in at a slight angle, which is how I could tell how tight the tension was. In addition, when trying to install, I realized that this style of blind might not be a good fit for the possibly old-fashioned windows I have where the borders are not flat edges, but have a slight tier. My advice: Measure very carefully, and if you have tiered borders to your windows, this style of blind might not be the best fit. ... show more

I was very skeptical at this kit but decided to try it anyways. It stated no tools so I was expecting a velcro stick up which would not hold up to my curious cats. This uses springs similar to a shower curtain rod... similar but not the same. It has two tension springs that each lock into place using a nut. The tension springs are located with one on each end of the blinds. I simply inserted the blinds and tightened the nuts into place and I was done. Awesome install. ... show more

The blinds arrived bent, possibly due to something heavy dropped on the product packaging, as there are signs of creases on the product packaging and not the shipping box. When I placed this order, I was excited to see how the installation process works, and based on the instruction, it looks quite easy to install. These have plastic tension rods at both ends (similar to shower tension rods). Despite their hefty weight and sturdy build, these metal blinds can bend easily. I think these blinds would be a perfect solution for those who want to avoid making new holes in the window frames, and these would also be convenient for renters to install and remove quickly when moving out. However, I have to deduct some stars at this point due to the defective item. I will update my reviews after receiving the new replacement blinds. ... show more
