They don't block a lot of light, but I did not buy then for this purpose. They do provide the privacy I need and they are easy to install. I hope they are also easy to remove! The grey color is nice. The blinds are polyester, not paper. That makes them more durable but worse for the environment. On balance, I would prefer paper because it is more earth friendly, hence the four stars. The clips that come with it don't work very will....other than that they look good ...I put them in a bedroom. I ended up cutting some off the bottom of the shade so the clip would fit.

Great fabric for shade. More durable than paper shades but the clips are lacking. Neither type of clip provided allows for clipping more than 4-5 folds. To hold up more than that we are using a giant binder clip so we can have the shade up during the day.
