The air pump works perfectly, and it produces a high volume of bubbles. I connected it to 100' of tubing and placed the diffuser stick about 30 feet offshore in my 3-acre pond. I bought the tubing from Amazon: ⅜ inch Self Sinking Aeration Hose,100 Feet, for $59. I also bought an EconoHome Adjustable Thermostat for $29 from Amazon which only powers the pump when the temperature is below 40 degrees. This is a much better solution than walking out on the ice with a sledgehammer and pounding the ice to make an opening for the ducks.

I use an aerator year-round in my little Koi Pond, along with the waterfall for supplying my ecosystem with oxygen. This unit has been running for about 7 months at this point 24 hours a day and hasn't had any issues. in the winter months, there was always a 2ft wide circle of open water from all of the air flow this unit produced, even on the extremely windy days it never froze all the way. it can be considered a bit noisy - but I have mine under a faux rock and can hardly hear it when we are sitting out having family dinner on the patio next to the pond. setup only took a few minutes and there is plenty of air-line included in the package to have the aerator stone pretty far away from the air pump itself. Great little air-pump for the money! I wish the electrical cord was a little longer, but that is my fault with the design of my pond - just wishful thinking!

It was shipped and delivered pretty fast, I couldn’t wait to get this thing set up and in the water because it took me weeks to decide which one to get ( I just like to get my moneys worth) but I’m glad I chose this one. It’s an absolute beast, I have about a 5000 gallon pond and every one I’ve tried is either way to big or way too small. This air pump puts out some bubbles and certainly aerates the water. It’s only been a few days so if it holds up for a while I’ll be a happy man.

I bought this because two of the posts holding my shade up over the pond had snapped in January and since I haven't had time to put them back up, my pond is in full sun most of the day. Then 2 months ago, the hose going from my pump to the waterfall broke so my pond was getting very little aeration and the temperature has been in the upper 90's this past month so I was trying to figure out what I needed to do in the meantime. My pond is about 2500 gallons and I have probably 20 koi about a foot long. I really wasn't expecting much from this because it looked like something I use in my fish tank but I was impressed with the amount of air that was flowing into my pond. I think that instead of repairing the waterfall, I will just get another one or two of these. Definitely worth the money. Easy to set up. Definitely recommend
