I bought a king size almost 2 years ago and I loved it! My 79 year old mom house sat for me and slept in my bed, she couldn't believe how comfortable it was. She has quite a bit of hip pain and sciatica pain and she didn't have any pain waking up in the morning after. She typically has to take Tylenol and let it kick in before she gets up. I only needed to give this a couple of hours to open up and slept on it the night I received it. The Lavender smell was potent when I opened it but when I put my bed sheet over it, it seemed to calm down. The smell is very subtle, it's extremely comfortable and I sleep like a baby. I had been suffering from serious lower back pain with my old mattress to the point where I was developing nerve issues in the back of my left leg. A simple cough while laying would shoot a pain behind my knee that was excruciating. I finally upgraded to a new,extra firm mattress and initially felt immediate pain relief. The nerve issues disappeared, and I was getting some great sleep. But after about a month,the back pains returned, and were becoming quite unbearable. I read that a mix of a firm mattress with a plush topper could help with what I was experiencing, so I took a gamble on this product. I will off the bat admit that I still have a rough night here and there with some lower back pain,and soreness in my hips if I lay funny. But after about a month with this,the good far outweighs the bad. It’s very comfy,not too thick to where I’m struggling to get up, and although the supposed lavender scent fades pretty fast (once in awhile it’ll come back a lil strong but is gone again within a day),the purchase has been an overall win. I got this for a full sized mattress, and although the box says to give it 48hrs to fully unfold and “inflate”, mine was ready to go within the same day I got it (arrived just before 1130am and I went to bed at around 11pm that night). Anyone with a larger bed may need the full 24-48hrs so keep that in mind. Also I live alone,and don’t need to accommodate a second body regularly adding their weight to this,so I can’t say if this will offer relief to any couples experiencing similar pains. ... show more

I purchased the queen sized lavender 3" topper for reference. I bought this item to go on top of our more firm memory foam camper mattress. It is very soft and if it is placed on a hard mattress you may be able to feel the harder mattress below over time, but this topper is still incredible. I also used this on my everyday sleeping mattress and it was a dream! So, I am going to buy another one for my room now. DO NOT force the topper open, let it expand on its own time. If you force it open before it starts to fluff up you may damage the topper, rips in the seams etc.. Mine took about 45 minutes to fluff up before I laid it flat. I put it on my bed and walked away and came back to the room about 45 minutes later and it looked fluffed up. That's when I laid it flat and I let it lay out on my bed all day, that night, and the next day before sleeping on it as well. I used it on my bed for one night before I moved it from inside my house to my camper and put it on the bed, put a mattress protector over it and then put my regular sheets on the bed. I moved it into my camper and put it on my memory foam mattress that is rather firm. This topper isn't very dense so you will pretty much feel the softness immediately when you lay down on it and your body will make an impression. I am 130#'s and my husband is 180#'s, we both slept very well on it during the month we used it out on our adventures. My husband absolutely loves this topper and wants another one for our bedroom. I had a traumatic back injury 10 years ago and I also agree to how comfortable this topper can make your bed. I did feel that after about 8 hours of laying on it during the night (I am a side sleeper) I could feel the mattress below it, but I also think this is because we have an old firm memory foam mattress in our camper. I knew when I purchased it that it wouldn't alleviate that, but I was hoping it would help make it more comfortable and I was right! When I used it in my bedroom I didn't feel the mattress below and I slept in for the first time in years! I'm so happy with my purchase that I am purchasing a second one! PROS: I really like the smell of the topper, it is pretty strong when you first open it, but it goes away within a couple of hours. Now I only smell it if my face is by the topper and it is a very pleasant smell. It helps firmer mattresses become softer and more comfortable. It is a dream on my bedroom mattress that is a hybrid (springs and memory foam on top). It is light weight and I can move it around to different beds if I want by myself. It is exactly the size of my queen mattresses, the same thickness all over, and I didn't have any issues with it moving around and I think this is because I put my mattress protector over it and then my sheets. CONS: The wait for it to be useable is hard because I am an impatient person. It did move around on the bed until I put it under my mattress protector. The smell is pretty strong when you first open the box, but it dissipates in a few hours time. Not sure if this is 100% the toppers fault, but I feel like it makes me sleep hotter during the night and I like to sleep on the cooler side. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to add some extra comfort to their mattress whether it is new or used. ... show more
