I like Lucid brand and had my last one for ten years, I loved it up until the ten year mark. Maybe my preferences have changed and I can’t handle plush mattresses anymore. Anyway, I do believe that at this price point it’s actually a good mattress. I read some of the reviews and I have to say, it deserves better reviews. It’s actually really good quality, if you have a very low budget. It amazes me that anyone would buy a mattress at this price and have anything to complain about. I feel that there should at least be gratitude for the fact that we can purchase any mattress at this low of a price point. If you want something better then keep saving until it can be afforded, otherwise maybe buy a used mattress off of FB marketplace. Anyway, my experience was - 1. The mattress wasn’t nearly as firm as I expected. Again, that was my own thought and expectations. It just gave too much for me. Which I can say some might love that it cradles them! Maybe it gave so much because I’m pregnant and weigh an extra 40 lbs, which puts me at 190 lbs. So maybe just not great for a heavier body. 2. I wish I had bought a ten or twelve inch instead. I think that would have helped. 3. No smell at all and was very cleanly packed. Bottom line - if you’re a lighter person and you need a low profile mattress and you also like to sink a bit, this one might be perfect for you. We bought it because we were In between moving, getting a new mattress and waiting for our Satviaa to be delivered. It served its purpose for a few weeks but now my nephew has it. He’s about 6 feet tall and 140lbs & he LOVES it! He said it’s so comfortable. To each their own… I’m happy with the purchase and super fast delivery. I ordered this mattress because it was firm. I cannot sleep on a soft mattress due to back problems. This mattress is Very Firm. Too firm if you have Fibromyalgia like I do. But I love it. So I ordered a mattress topper to lessen the hardness on my body. Especially my shoulders when side sleeping because I had a bad fall years ago and injured my shoulder and back. But if you are looking for Firm then this is the mattress for you. No regrets and I highly recommend. It inflated fully in less than 2 days. There was Never any Smell at all. I'm happy I went with my gut instinct to try it out. Update: I purchased the mattress topper and it definitely took the edge off of my Fibromyalgia and Back pain. ... show more

Ok, so we really needed an 8” mattress in order to fit the space in our RV. In order to test the mattress out, we removed our bedroom mattress and placed this on the base to give it a few weeks during the return window… Since it never made it to 8”, Amazon was kind enough to do a replacement. We opened the bad mattress afterwards only to find the 1.5” memory gel / 1.5” memory gel / 5” base foam that is in the main description is incorrect. It is in fact 1.5” memory / 1” transitional / 5.5” base. Now when you go to Lucids main page, these are the correct infos. Labeled 5/5 firmness total plush whereas changing the 1” transitional into base foam makes a 1/5 firmness total firm. Utter nonsense… when you look at taller mattress, Plush happens when you have 2.5” - 3” or more memory foam with usually 1-3” of traditional foam. Meaning 3”-6” of foam that GIVES…. That’s plush… this is like a medium-firm mattress like 2/5, maybe 2.5/5. I don’t like how the foam has the second fabric stitched shut so you can see it. But I did it for you guys… All layers are glued together… Problems: 1) Stopped at 7” never made 8”. The current Cali Kings we manufactured in January of 2021, so that’s a long time to stay compressed. 2) Had some lower back pain on some days. 3) Top foam tears easily or came with issues. You can feel the holes after only a few weeks. 4) Top outer cover is polyester and not tencel nor soft and tears super easy. Never let your pets on these types of mattresses. My tencel sheets that last a year tops are stronger then these covers. Pros: 1) Price 2) Warranty if you do within 30 days. 3) The plush mattresses are super nice feeling. (Our 5” firms felt better than this model. 4) could always just add a 2” topper for $50 and a bamboo zipped cover to fix and make it plush. ... show more
