We purchased this matress topper about a month agoanf we wanted to wait and give an honest review. We are retired and live in a tropical environment. We purchased it to alleviate my hip pain and discomfort from our older matress that we aren't quite ready replace yet. It's like sleeping on a cloud. Here's a summary of our topper. Temperature; The ventilation holes help to disperse the heat from you body. While it may seem warmer when you first get into bed, the heat doesn't accumulate any more than a regular matress. Fit: Perfect fit for our king size bed. We have a matress protector and we do have extra deep pockets on our sheets. Sleep: WOW! We are sleeping better and we find we are moving more fluidly when we first get up. No more morning shuffle. We now sleep through the night. If we do get up, we are able to go straight back to sleep. They say roll it out to get rid of the packing smell. Where should I do that? In my case, it was the floor. Once it was rolled out, it was difficult for this older woman to handle by herself, I needed help to move it. I put it on top of the mattress, over the sheet. It rolled off. I put it on the mattress under the sheet, and it doesn't roll. But it does collapse when I sit on it, especially on the edge of the bed. And the lavender aroma has disappeared. Surprising to me, because the mattress topper is so soft, I have trouble sliding over to the other side of the bed. But it does wonders for my back. It's a great buy. ... show more

I have an extremely firm mattress that is 30 years old. (It wasn’t in use for most of that time, but still, they don’t make them like they used to.). It is too hard for my 50-year old body, but this mattress topper has made it perfectly comfortable. I’m so grateful I didn’t have to spend more on an entirely new mattress. I have had mines for over 3 years at the time of this writing. Out the box the lavender smell was potent but over time it dissipated and went away completely over the course of a few months. It did not bother me much and the smell made my Man Cave smell better than what it was. Bonus points! The topper inflated rather quickly but I waited 24 hours to use it and when I did...WHEW! Night and Day difference to the bed I had at the time. It felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I stopped tossing and turning during the night and with my CPAP I sleep so good! People who have sat on my bed immediately wanted to take a nap. It is so comfortable! It can be somewhat difficult to move because it is a very thick topper (Mines was 4 inches) but you get use to it. You also will have to get bed sheets that can accommodate the thickness. Over time this will break down. I am a morbidly obese person (550+ pounds) and I am surprised this topper held up this long. The topper hasn't flattened out but it is breaking apart. The holes are where the breaks started and mines is almost split in two parts. Mines also started to discolor because I sleep hot and sweat. Because it is foam I did not expect it to last as long as it did but I only sleep in my bed and lounge in my computer chair. This was supposed to be a short term solution until I move and get a new bed. I did move and get a new bed and I put this topper on top and it feels amazing. I will have to throw mines away soon and I will be upset as it has been very good to me and my fat. If you are looking to buy this don't expect this to be a long term solution. If your bed is uncomfortable you will probably need to get a new bed. I am giving it high marks because it has been so good to me and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a foam topper. ... show more

I ordered a 4” mattress topper for our cabin and loved it so much that I decided to order one for our bed at home also. I ordered a different one than the one at the cabin. There are pros and cons, here goes… I chose this topper because of the low price. I read the reviews and figured I would give it a shot. It came well packaged. It was rolled and shrink wrapped securely. Others reviews said the topper came with rips and cracks and had a strong odor or no odor at all. Mine was fine, no rips or cracks. As far as the smell, the lavender scent was strong. It lasted as a strong scent for about 2 weeks. Now you only get a whiff of it when you first lay down. This topper I would rate as soft. You lay on it and you can feel yourself sinking into it. When you are sleeping, it makes it hard to roll around. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I now find myself laying on my back all night even though I am a side sleeper. I have noticed that my arms do not fall asleep as often as they did without the topper, so that is a plus. This topper did not come with a covering, so I put my mattress pad on top of it. Be ready for the additional 4” to make your sheets difficult to stay on. We have a deep mattress and the additional 4” of the topper means having to constantly adjust the fitted sheet in the morning. We are still on the fence about this topper. This is like sleeping on clouds. I have problems with my back( sciatica). It’s firm and it gives me support but it has that softness that puts me to sleep and my body can fully relax.
