I have purchased this product before and will definitely purchase again! I purchased my first one in 2020 and the second one in 2024 so it has held up VERY well. The only reason we changed is because of spills/stays in it (our fault) and it was slightly worn but not enough to changed the quality of sleep or shape of the topper. It is the most comfortable topper that I have ever purchased and will rave about it to anyone. I have to say this is my second one I’ve ordered and I love these so much! I highly recommend this product! Very good quality, ships fast, expands beautifully! I probably could have done better getting the two inch pad. This raised the height of my bed and makes it harder to fit the sheets over. It is soft and provides cushion for my shoulders and hips (I'm a side sleeper which is why I bought this mattress topper. It is very hot though. The topper looks just like the picture shown. Our bed is years old. The mattress is still in decent condition. It's one the flips over and has a pillow top on both sides. We've always been good about flipping and rotating it. But, time wears on. I have neuropathy and I was noticing that my hands and arms were falling asleep or tingling every morning. I have had to wear braces. Plus my lower back would take a while of creaking to warm up and not be sore. I have one hip that had started to hurt. I'm not getting into the husband's side. We are both healthy and keep in pretty good shape so I just knew some of this was the mattress. Was I ready to spend another $1K or more on a mattress....ummmm....nope! I had slept on a friend's bed who had gotten a memory foam mattress and liked it. Then I started researching the toppers. I have been looking into a topper for months. Figured I would give it a shot. Hopefully sleep better and save a little money. Thank you Prime Day! haha After reading about everything I could and then reading reviews, comparing prices etc, I decided on this. Hallelujah!! I picked this one because it had good reviews on temperature. I run hot so I needed something that wouldn't make me sweat. I liked the bamboo and charcoal features. This came perfectly packaged. Easy to open (provided a razor tool for the plastic) and lay out. There was absolutely NO SMELL. I was worried. I put my face right into it. Nothing. I have a small house so there was no way I was able to stick a king sized topper somewhere for 48 hours, so this only sat for about 14 hours. It did start to expand immediately after being laid out. I already had a pillow mattress cover w/ deep pockets and it fits right over it. I have slept on this for 2 nights so I might be pulling the trigger early on a review, but I will definitely update this if necessary. Night one: I could definitely tell a difference. It was very comfortable. I was worried about too soft or too firm, but like goldilocks, it was just right. It is soft enough that you sink into it, but firm enough that you are not in a hole (if that makes sense). I was not hot at all. Summer is definitely a time to test that out. Night two: I think I liked it even better last night. Just a huge difference. Even lying on it to read. I was comfortable with no aches. Huge difference in the morning. I haven't worn my arm braces and my arms and hands have not had any pins and needles or numbness. My hip has not bothered me and my lower back doesn't feel like I have to oil it up before exercising or just breathing. At this point, I would definitely recommend this topper. I know there are so many out there. My suggestion is don't rush it. Read reviews on and off of Amazon. Going through though, add this one to your list of a possibility. I will add too that I was thinking I would need a 4 inch, but I did read somewhere that someone stated that it feels like you sink further down with a 4inch so I got the 3 and it's perfect for my needs. This Lucid arrived packaged well and was as described. I purchased this topper to go on top of my new mattress. My new mattress was a little too firm for my liking. The lucid topper expanded rather quickly after opening, I think within 12 hours. The odor was slight and rather acceptable. I did leave the topper flat on the bed without use for 48 hours before covering it and using it. This topper has really made a drastic difference in the comfort level of my new mattress. The topper is soft, but not too soft where you sink into it, I also have found that it is not too hot either. It did really increase the overall height of the mattress by 4 inches, so that is something to be aware of, as far as sheets, or if height is an issue. For myself it was perfect. I could not be any more pleased with this purchase, I was rather upset after not being comfortable on my new mattress and the Lucid topper has made a drastic improvement. It is a quality product and I would highly recommend it, to add softness or more even support to your mattress. ... show more

Pros: - Very little smell. - It expanded well after we opened it. No part of it stayed compressed. We let it rest flat for 48 hours before trying it as advised by the instructions. Cons: - It is SOFT and does not provide any support. As soon as you lie on it, you sink in deeply, then your heavier parts, like hips and shoulders, keep sinking. - It is HOT! It traps body heat, so it feels like lying on a pad that is 98.6 degrees F. We tried it for one night. My husband fell asleep but had a bad backache in the morning. I got up after about an hour because I was too hot and slept on the sofa. Netted out, this is low density memory foam. The cell structure is very open, with large sir pockets. Like other low density foams, I would expect it to break down and compress quickly. I don’t know whether anyone sells high-density memory foam toppers. When memory foam first came out, it was high density: the air pockets looked like pin pricks and it felt almost hard at first, then you slowly sank in and it conformed to your body while still providing support.
