There are so many beds on the market its impossible to try them all. Then there are beds you know are going to be good but a twin may cost 500-600 bucks and unless your pretty well off most of us can't logically afford that. Im a big guy, this mattress was pretty good but I added a 2 inch memory foam pad that I had on it and then it became pretty much perfect. Never had one of those super high dollar beds to compare it to but i believe this was money well spent. I was using it in a spare room and now its in my semi truck and still going great. Ill buy another of this brand if I need to in the future

Don't get me wrong- I love this bed. and I mean maybe it's five stars and I just sleep weird. If you're a blessed individual who can fall asleep on your back, this is the pillow for you. If you're plagued with nasal leakin' while you're asleep, it gets hard! BUT. I have actually just fallen asleep while hanging out on this bed. I never nap. But I've taken several multi-hour naps on this mattress in the last 5 days. I still toss and turn a little while falling asleep but again I think that may be a 'me' thing. I fall asleep fast and I tend to stay asleep longer than my last bed. I DON'T feel like I woke up from being beaten half-to-death with baseball bats. In fact I've woken up feeling pretty refreshed. This has paired with giving up caffeine very well. :) I'm 6' tall and think I would benefit from a Full XL size. But I don't have the space. So considering I knowingly got a mattress I knew was too short, I ain't knockin' points off. It fits my partner and that's all that matters to me. TL;DR Solid bed! not TOO firm. I sleep well on my front! Back rest feels amazing. Uhm.. Yeah! love my bed. :)

I bought the plush mattress and it is perfect. The only issue I find is, if I'm sitting in bed before I go to sleep, I have to sleep on the opposite side because it compresses pretty easily so that side seems flat. I've only had this for about 2 months and I can already tell the side that I tend to sleep on is not as firm as the other side. So I don't think this mattress would be good long-term, unless it was on a guest bed. My house current down two months ago and so I bought this because it was cheap and we were just in a hurry to get something for the rental home...However, for the price I really can't complain. It's super comfortable, firm but still with some plushness . I will say I bought a down mattress topper to go on top since I needed some extra cushion and that REALLY made a big difference. This doesn't get hot at night at all. I can tell I'll need to flip this every month or so and I'm trying to do better about sleeping more on the other side to even it out some lol. Even though it's not extremely noticeable, I don't want it to be an issue 6 months from now.

My first night sleeping on this mattress was absolutely heaven. I think it was just about the best nights sleep I have had in 20 years. Very soft, form fitting, but supportive. Only 10" thick, but the mattress is more than enough. So now I don't have to climb up into bed. Excellent product at a great price.

This mattress is way better than something with coil springs. It hugs your body and does not push on any pressure points like a coil mattress. Phenomenal deal. I recommend the medium if you've never had a memory foam mattress before, because this feels plenty plush.

I had purchased the plush Lucid mattress for my other house & that one was PERFECT. Needed another mattress & for some reason could not ship the plush to Hawaii. But the medium mattress could be shipped, so I went with that. If you are reading this then you know mattresses are a very personal choice. How can a mattress feel like sleeping in a cloud & also feel like sleeping on a slab of concrete? Is there truly that much difference in 2 people’s experience? Or is it quality control of the memory foam? At any rate, I had a good experience with Lucid once. And had a bad experience with a different brand where the new mattress had zero support & gave me back pain like I’ve never experienced before. It also was so hot! And if you get the mattress & don’t like it, good luck getting it back into the box & returning it! I ended up selling it to some poor soul that didn’t know what a torture thing the mattress was. But hey, there were a gazillion 5 star reviews on that brand. Maybe the buyer got an almost brand new “like sleeping on a cloud in an inferno” for a fraction of the price! Anyways, back to this medium support Lucid. It’s OK. I wake up with ZERO back pain & does not retain heat, so maybe it does deserve a 5 star instead of 4 star. But, I just wish it had a tad bit more softness. Like maybe one or two more inches of soft memory foam. I’ve had it for a couple months. I am hoping as it breaks in it will soften up a bit. This mattress is probably good for people larger than I. And I sleep alone with a couple little furry friends. I tried putting a 3” memory foam mattress topper on it but it was too much, a little too soft. Maybe a 1” or 2” topper will work. Don’t get me wrong, I really do like this mattress. No back pain is worth a lot!!! This mattress is almost perfect! I would have traded the plush for this medium, but he let the old dog sleep on it with no waterproof protection & guess what? He can keep it! Also, the softer they are the faster they degrade. That plush mattress… the person sleeping on it is about 30-40lbs heavier than me. He’s been sleeping on it for 5 years & its has an indentation where he sleeps. But he has not complained about that. He does complain about the fact that there’s no support at the edges when you sit. That is true for any memory foam mattress. He ended up putting padded side boards on his bed frame to give it support (my bed frame already has side boards, which is perfect for memory foam!) I really wish I could have ordered the plush Lucid, even if I would have to replace it in 5 years. For the price, to me, it’s worth it. That plush mattress was perfect, this medium is almost perfect & since it is firmer, hopefully it will last a little longer. Good luck with the search for the perfect mattress! If you can afford to pay a little more, buy one at Costco or somewhere that you can return it if it doesn’t work for you. Or go to a mattress store & take a lie down on different brands. Or lie down on a friend’s memory foam & see how it feels. There’s just no way to know, since every mattress on Amazon has contradictory reviews. I do believe that if you are not sure, go with the firmer one. If it’s too firm, you can always put a topper on it. But if it’s too soft & causes crippling pain & makes you feel like you are sleeping in an inferno of heat, you are pretty much screwed. I do recommend this medium Lucid mattress. It is a good mattress at an affordable price.
