This alternator was not new. This was a rebuilt anternator using the old black stator. I replace my alternator just because it was taken off because I was replacing fuel injectors. After I was finished emediatly I had electrical problems. Lights would dim, voltage meter drop, then while on freeway, alternator locked up breaking my serpentine belt, water pump, ripped out wiring from electric fan clutch, and damaged radiator. I replaced all that and put the old alternator back on and it has been running fine for two weeks now. The attached photo shows both alternators. New one has shinny cleaned case but the windings aren't light copper like new ones are. ... show more

Wow, rebuilt Delphi alternator is really nice. Came with QC analysis, a nice plus. Far better option then getting a new one from China. High quality, better build!!!

    • FAILED! Less than 6 months
At less than 6 months during a 6 hour road trip, this item failed. It took out a seasoned battery, shut me down on a brand new battery, left me stranded along the highway, required a tow, a lost days work, found out it fried that new battery, and forced an emergency replacement. All-in just shy of $2k. On a good note, this was easy to install during Christmas holiday break and a direct replacement. This item came with a 1-year warranty listed right in the description. I reached out to the original manufacturer; however, they do not warranty items sold by a third-party remanufacturer. I researched through Amazon return documentation, however my issue of pre-mature failure under warranty has NOT been resolved. ... show more

Purchased January 10th 2024, installed on 2004 Chevy trailblazer February 20th and literally drove less than 50 miles and the alternator is not charging at idle. Happened after gunning it pulling out in traffic, volt gauge dropped to zero and battery ligh came on. Lucky I made it home.
