I have struggled with clogged pores for the past several years. I am 65 and thought I was years past break outs. I have tried many kinds of cleansers in the past several ranging from $20 to $100. I’m an esthetician who for the most part have balanced skin but definitely leans towards the dry side when it’s not balanced. I also suffer from mild acne and this stuff is my favorite. I use it daily and the lactic acid does wonders for my skin. Keep in mind for those that say this was drying or irritated their skin, not everyone can use an exfoliating cleanser daily. Add a creamy cleanser into your regimen and use this 2-3 times a week before giving up on the product! ... show more

    • Excellent for oily, breakout-prone skin
My aesthetician uses this face wash in her practice and recommended that I use it at home as well. I'm in my late 20's and my skin normally starts the day balanced but ends pretty oil by nighttime. I'm prone out to random small breakouts (my aesthetician says my skin is "easily congested") particularly directly before my period. This face wash helps a lot to control the oil. I only wash my face with it at night - twice a day is too much and it can be drying. It leaves my skin super soft, clean feeling, and balanced in moisture. I've been using it about two months now and the couple breakouts I had were extremely mild and mostly didn't even break the surface. I *do* pair this with vitamin-c serum and retinol at nighttime, and I always moisturize with sea buckthorn oil, a combination which works really well for me. ... show more

I ended up falling in love with the fiscal cleanser and ordered this in a full sized version. It seems a little drying around my nose/sensitive areas of my face but has really brightened and cleared up my skin! I would highly recommend this ... show more

I tried to love this since I love the toner; but this did absolutely nothing for my face. It also barely washed off makeup and made my skin feel really harsh.

This product is slightly viscous, foams slightly and a little goes a long way. It washes the face without leaving it feeling stripped. I’ve enjoyed it so far. It’s definitely a staple in my routine

    • Works really well for normal to oily skin without over drying.
I've tried all sorts of face washes for slightly oily skin, natural and medicated. So far this is the only one that leaves my face feeling fresh with that sort of tight glowing feeling. Other washes do okay as a cleanser, but they don't leave that afterglow feeling. A small amount will foam up nicely when rubbed between your hands. A quick lather on the face while showering is all it takes for me. No off putting scent, barely smells at all and has a nice gel consistency. Hasn't left my skin overly dry or caused it to produce more oils or any breakouts. I don't have to use any other steps after using this.
