Very disappointed. This battery is apparently NOT fully compatible with my Latitude E5550 w/Win 10 Pro. While PLUGGED IN, and fully charged, the machine receives "critical battery trigger" signals and immediately sends the laptop to SLEEP. Again, that happens while the the machine is connected to the OEM AC Adapter. In fact, it just occurred again while writing this. See image of Dell Power Commander error message. Note: battery IS fully charged AND the PC is plugged in. Bottom line: Can't recommend this battery. Be prepared to return it. ... show more

Why? Would anyone do that. How much could the cable to connect the battery to the laptop really cost? Just include it. When it's sold separately it's like an additional $15 not to mention the time lost. I buy a lot of batteries and I've never seen a company do this. I would recommend looking for a battery that comes with the actual cable. ... show more

    • Laptop goes to sleep at random with this battery!

After installing this battery the laptop will randomly go to sleep mode.. no matter if its docked or undocked. I did not have this issue with the old battery. I checked the log files and it plainly states sleep mode - reason "battery" I tried different windows power plans, turning of S3 mode in the bios among other things... no joy. Just a random sleep. After re-installing the old battery the system was functioning normally (however with less battery time) - which was the reason to get a new battery in the first place. Apparently I got a bad unit.. or they are JUNK ... show more

I needed to replace the battery in my Dell laptop and this battery works perfectly. Simple swap of the battery and booted and works as it did when new. Definitely a much better value over the 'official' Dell battery.

After installing the battery (Dell E5500) a battery life indicator showed only .2% life. Stated that computer could not communicate with battery. I tried to establish communication, still questionable. Currently all is well and it is working well.
