  • Great Unit, Lowest price!
Size: HDS-9 Live Style: No Transducer Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
Great unit...arrived quickly! Amazon had the best price around on this unit (at the time of purchase) and I did a lot of online shopping. I was a little shocked that Amazon was the lowest price (a lot of times Amazon has ridiculous pricing on certain items). It's mounted on my bass boat and working perfectly. ... show more

  • Upped my fishing game
Size: HDS-9 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
Got this to replace my 11 year old HDS gen 1 unit. What a big difference. Basic operation is very similar, so was easy for me, and the addition of touch screen make a lot of it much quicker. Very clear high resolution screen. The sonar, down scan, and side scan images are very sharp. The included charts are more than adequate for the coastal fishing I do. I did my own installation, and it was not hard. Running the transducer cable was the trickiest part. The 9" screen is a bit limiting with so much imagry to display. I actually kept my old unit installed (it is too old to share images with ethernet, bit does share data via nmea 2000) and I have used the old one for chart and engine data, and the new one just for sonar/sidescan. That leaves plenty of room for seeing the bottom. Happy with this upgrade. ... show more

  • Fantastic unit!
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
This is a fantastic fish finder. Turns out these are the discontinued units from Lowrance but the features and price can't be beat. The software in my new unit was from 2020, but I easily updated it to the June 2023 release from the Lowrance website. That installed many new features including fish icons and depth, etc. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great product
Size: HDS-9 Live Style: No Transducer Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
Lowrance locators are the best! I have 3 of these on my bass boat and a lowrance on my pontoon boat! Interfaces well with my ghost trolling motor and active target. Game charger! Easy to see in bright sunlight too

  • This thing is a game changer - follow on purchases required to unlock all the features
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
This depthfinder is amazing! The clarity of chart images it produces is next level. I have two gripes with this product: 1) I was very unsatisfied with the built in maps, but knew that going in to this. I bought both the Navionics premium, and CMAP SSD cards. For my application (New England lake fishing) Navionics maps are far superior. 2) the 3-in-1 transducer that comes with the unit is NOT the only transducer you need to unlock all the functionality of this unit (StuctureScan 3D and LiveSight). That wasn't clear to me when I was purchasing - I'm not sure that would have swayed me away. I intend to upgrade with these additional features next season (wife permitting) If you buy one of these, I highly recommend paying for a Navionics Premium account. I've really enjoyed syncing this unit with my tablet (and/or phone) and doing my own bathymetry (underwater topography). I have the active captain option on my navionics account activated, so every week after I go out on the lake, Navionics updates the maps with data that I took myself... in my opinion, this feature alone makes it all worth while. One other feature that took me a little while to figure out was mirroring the HDS Live screen on my tablet (and/or phone). I don't recall the name of the app you need (Link?), but once you connect through this app you can see and control the HDS Live remotely - another game changing feature in my opinion. ... show more
