  • Lowrance is my favorite
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
I love lowrance this was exactly what I needed and has not let me down. Buy the additional map card though basemap leaves alot to be desired, however will work for the majority of people.

  • Great fish finder .
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
I bought this for my Hobie Kayak. I’ve had it installed for about a month now and so far it’s awesome. Installation was very straightforward, but this was not my first kayak installation. The gps charts needed to be updated but that was relatively quick with the app. The features are great as it’s nice to have more than just standard sonar. The touch screen is also really nice. All-in, it’s a great unit and has been worth every penny. ... show more

  • Game changer!!
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
Great device all over. Very functional touchscreen that can be easily seen in sunny weather and through polarized glasses. Sonar detects fish in a real time which is very helpful. Downscan provides a lot of information about what’s going on under water, I was amazed with how it detected movements of my comparatively small lure while jigging. Very happy with this gadget! ... show more

  • Great gadget.
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
I don’t think I have caught any more fish with it, but I am no longer bored when not catching. It is good to know the fish are there even when they are just teasing me.

  • Upped my fishing game
Got this to replace my 11 year old HDS gen 1 unit. What a big difference. Basic operation is very similar, so was easy for me, and the addition of touch screen make a lot of it much quicker. Very clear high resolution screen. The sonar, down scan, and side scan images are very sharp. The included charts are more than adequate for the coastal fishing I do. I did my own installation, and it was not hard. Running the transducer cable was the trickiest part. The 9" screen is a bit limiting with so much imagry to display. I actually kept my old unit installed (it is too old to share images with ethernet, bit does share data via nmea 2000) and I have used the old one for chart and engine data, and the new one just for sonar/sidescan. That leaves plenty of room for seeing the bottom. Happy with this upgrade. ... show more

  • Great Unit, Lowest price!
Size: HDS-9 Live Style: No Transducer Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
Great unit...arrived quickly! Amazon had the best price around on this unit (at the time of purchase) and I did a lot of online shopping. I was a little shocked that Amazon was the lowest price (a lot of times Amazon has ridiculous pricing on certain items). It's mounted on my bass boat and working perfectly. ... show more

  • Fantastic unit!
Size: HDS-7 Live Style: Active Imaging 3-in-1 Pattern Name: Sonar Fathometer
This is a fantastic fish finder. Turns out these are the discontinued units from Lowrance but the features and price can't be beat. The software in my new unit was from 2020, but I easily updated it to the June 2023 release from the Lowrance website. That installed many new features including fish icons and depth, etc. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • A $2000.00 Paper Weight with the worse Customer Service.
I purchased this item on July 29th and went to install it last Sunday. The Transducer installation went without incident, but upon powering up the Lowrance HDS Live 9", the unit has a beautiful screen but within 30 seconds of starting, the screen froze and I was unable to navigate with any of the buttons. After about a minute, the unit completely shuts itself off and then reboots itself only to have the same thing happen again. This cycle continues over and over until you just get frustrated with it. I tried calling the Lowrance Service Center and was given a Case Number and then was put on hold for over an hour and they did not even have the decency or courtesy to return to the call or even try to contact me again. With the rave reviews and beautiful You Tube videos they have produced, I expected much more from them considering these units are perhaps at the higher end of cost against any comparable units. Needless to say, because of the installation of the transducer and setting up the unit, the original shipping box has been destroyed and I am left with a unit that does noting but look nice while it is shut down and perhaps it's too late to return it. My son was on the verge of buy a 12 inch HDS Live for his boat and after seeing the issues , I have had with mine, he has changed his mind and I could not blame him. He probably would have had had a 12 inch paperweight. What a sore letdown and a waste in time and effort and energy in the installation of the transducer. DO NOT BUY this unit as you will SOL in the event there is an issue. A sore disappointment ... show more
