I have had several Lowrance fishfinders over the years and this one didn't disappoint. For the price, you are getting a great unit and the resolution is so much better than my prior unit. There are better ones on the market if you have another $500-1000 to spend. I would highly recommend to someone that wants a great all around system. Make sure to get the triple shot unit as it is worth it! I will also add that the addionial cmaps card offered a lot more topographic resolution than my prior map.

This Lowrance Eagle 9 with TripleShot HD with C-MAP DISCOVER fish finder is a solid mid-range fish finder that offers good value for people seeking a reliable unit with advanced imaging capabilities. The 9-inch display provides clear visibility and good resolution, making it easy to read in various lighting conditions. The user interface is generally intuitive, allowing for quick navigation between different sonar views and mapping functions. One of the standout features is the TripleShot HD Transducer, which offers three types of sonar: traditional 2D, DownScan, and SideScan imaging. This combination provides us with a comprehensive view of the underwater environment, making it easier to locate fish and structure. I also like the DownScan and SideScan imaging, in particular, of the clarity in revealing bottom and fish-holding structures. The C-MAP DISCOVER cartography offers decent mapping capabilities, for me fishing around Minnesota lakes, it provides sufficient information to navigate and find good spots. I also like the speed that it boots up rather quick. One thing to note that is the transducer is quite large, so if you are kayak user you may not want to consider this. Overall, a low budget cost fishfinder I can recommend in 2024!

It is a nice Fish finder. It was easy to install and to setup. The screen is clear and easy to read off of. The first time I went out on the water with fish finder. I was shocked at what I saw . It showed me items laying under water. It looked clear. It took me a little while to train my brain to what I was seeing on the screen. After that, I was seeing places to fish. Stumps, laydowns, and just stuff laying down. It shows fish. I have been using an older Lowrance Eagle fish finder. But, this fish finder is a big up grade to what I had. This make finding fish a lot easier. I caught some nice big bass that date. I used to fish the whole side of the bank. Now, I only fish where the fish are. I don't waste time fishing where there are no fish. I like this. The only thing I wished, is that it could be connected to a 2nd screen. Or about to move the screen from the back of the boat to the front easily.

Easy enough to set up and use but we weren't really far out into deeper water so hard to say how well it worked. Seemed to be pretty legit for the testing we did!
