I purchased for hip area. Does not work with the hips. It works pretty good when you wrap it around your waist or a little lower but I still have the back pain. However, I’ve never tried to double up one on top of the other, making it a wider band. Perhaps that will work, but haven’t had a chance to do that. Whenever you order something like this, it’s either going to work or it’s not going to work and that’s the chance to take. What Doesn’t work for me may work for someone else. This brace rides lower on my back at S1. It gives light support under clothing without bulk. It gives easy adjustable support with the elastic straps. As with all low back braces, it has a tendency to fold/roll over when sitting. I wear size 16W pant and the XL works for me.
