  • clever case fills a travel niche / larger size
A clever camera case, designed for when you don't want (or need) a full camera backpack. Like all Lowepro camera bags, it's very well designed. Pictured: holding a Canon R6 w/ handstrap and RF100-400mm USM attached. The RF24-105mm STM is adjacent. I tried both this and the "Large II". This XL will hold a larger attached lens and has double the space for additional lenses. But it's pretty bulky, getting into the territory of needing its own bag (which defeats the purpose for me using this instead of a camera backpack). But how & what you pack as a photog is very personal, and if your go-to lens is bigger than what I have pictured, you'll need this XL. Since I'm not a professional photographer, I just take my camera along for fun. When flying, that means it has to share my limited luggage space, and that gets challenging with normal camera cases, and the gear is much too delicate to pack it loose (at least I shouldn't). This size of "Creator Box" fits into my normal carry-on backpack (that goes under-seat), taking up about 90% of the interior compartment. You would still need something to carry the camera around for shooting, but could conceivably put the whole creatorbox in some kind of rucksack. Carrying it by the pull handle on the end would do in a pinch, but would not be comfortable for an extended carry. Recommended if this size fits your gear needs. ... show more

  • Great as a camera insert
I throw this into a backpack and carry the whole thing as my camera bag. That way, I don't scream "look at me and all my camera gear!" For my purposes, I carry my R6 and whatever lenses I feel like carrying. The maximum amount I can fit neatly with organizers is my R6 with a RF 35mm 1.8 attached, Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 G2 with the EF-RF adapter attached, and Samyang 85mm 1.4 RF. However, I don't carry that all the time, and this is where one potential downside could come in. If you want to carry only 2 lenses, it might be unbalanced. This isn't a problem if you put it inside a backpack, but something to note. Just other things that may be useful: The outside has a translucent panel with side zipper, while the inside has a panel that runs the height of the camera case. I use it to throw my wrist strap and batteries. There are two small slots for SD cards, but I don't use those. Dividers are made of velcro and do a decent job. ... show more

  • My simple always on setup
I also have LowePro Pro tactic 450 aw ii but it is heavy and not suitable for daily carry. I prefer to use Gear UP XL to carry my basic setup. Also, I carry with The North Face Flyweight Backpack which makes this setup more useful and water-resistant. Killer combo for practicality. Just one minus for this bag; if LowPro puts a thin strap for shoulder carrying would be better. (It has a place to hook strap on the sides). ... show more

  • Great, well-designed case
I've owned a variety of camera bags through the years, but this time I wanted to find an insert to use with a regular backpack I already owned. I tried both this one - the Creator Box Extra Large II - and the Large. Their design is great, and I love that the "top" portion (when in use) zipped open to easily allow access to the camera, and then if you unbuckle the front strap, the whole front opens too, for total access to the interior. Sadly, I ended up returning both the Extra Large and Large; I was trying to carry a Canon RP, 24-105, and 70-300L. The Large just wasn't quite big enough to hold both lenses, although it fit my backpack well. The Extra Large easily held the camera and lenses, but was too big for my backpack, which could barely zip around it. I really tried to justify keeping one of these because I liked them so much, and if I ever have a different backpack that I want to convert to a camera bag, I'll definitely buy this again. ... show more

  • Solid build which is expected from Lowepro
Looks like great protection for my camera and lenses. I love the ability to make any bag/backpack into a camera bag and so dont have to let any sketchy people know I have my DSLR/lenses in my bag.

  • Great build quality and lots of room
I just love this case. I needed one for Epson EF 12 projector but because of its unique cube design I wasn’t able to find the perfect bag until I found this. I love the build quality and how it protects my device with padded sleeves. It also has extra room for cable or chargers. Worth the price.

  • A good thing, but not without flaws.
A good thing, but not without flaws. I have been trying for a long time to find the right one for my camera, lenses and personal items... Sadly, there is nothing suitable.

  • Great for quick outings
This item is great for when I don't want to haul my bigger camera bag. I can just grab this and a couple lenses toss it in my backpack and go.
