  • Highly desired improvement for my setup!
I got this as an improvement over my previous mic arm stand that is perfect for my set up! The way I have this set up currently is that my mic stand is on my left monitor out of two. My left monitor is the larger one as well. So my other mic stand was not low profile and thus was always blocking some part of the large monitor unless I took it off completely. With this stand, it frees up my larger view of the screen! Installing it was rather easy as everything is provided including an small allen wrench and the instructions are simple to follow. The build and quality of this product is very good, I like the material is made out of plastic with a slight textured finish to it compared to a painted metal that rubs off over time. I really appreciate the feature of being able to sort to attach up or hook the microphone cabling into the stand itself for a neater cable management. Additionally for this purpose in the box are provided several velcro ties to use. Furthermore I do appreciate they give you several adapters for different purposes such as a phone stand should you ever need one. Overall I feel this is worth its price which is slightly more expensive than the cheaper ones you can find on here. I recommend this mic stand highly if you are looking for a low profile mic stand. ... show more

  • Very nice "pro" quality, compact "low profile" Mic Arm for desks, zooming, podcasts etc...
I work in an audio-related field and have had several mic arms for various purposes. This one is "pro" or "studio" quality, as opposed to those ones that look like they came out of an erector set or college dorm room with noisy springs on the sides. The steel is high quality and heavy - powder coated black. The pivot points offer adjustable resistance and move silently, and there is an internal tray to hide most of the mic cable enroute to the microphone. It comes with an optional height arm and various adjustable pieces to height and horizontal position is so it is easily moved in more directions, including behind your camera even if the mount is in front on your desk. The mic clip itself will fit most stick mics, and has a ball joint for 360 movement. The kit comes with the thread adapters for different heads (like for tripods and lights or a small camera) and includes a clamp for cell phones if you want to mount your entire phone rather than just a mic. Assuming your desk mount is attached in a stable fashion it would also support quite a bit of weight, like a heavy ribbon mic or small camera. All in all it is a professional level device - good for podcasts et.al., but also nice for zooming etc... ... show more

  • 4.5 stars for versatile mic / phone arm
This is a well built low profile arm, but also is versatile to give you the ability to raise the arm up 8 inches and also the option to mount to a mic or phone. I did have a small chip at the base of the arm. I can't tell if this is powder coated or anodized because it's textured, but I was surprised at the chip...I can fill it in with some black marker. I already have a mic arm, but I needed one to hold a camera phone for webcam for office meetings. This fits the build... I like this arm, but it does have one limitation... the arm can give you either movement in the X or Y axis, but not both at the head of the arm. If you choose X, the Y movement is limited at the adapter of the phone holder. I already have another stand that has a push button phone holder and it's screw adapter fits this arm. By using another phone holder...it made this stand easier to have both X and Y movement. For a mic...I believe it doesn't matter, but for webcam, you want the flexibility to get the right angle. I give this arm 4 stars...but being versatile with both as a phone and mic arm...I give it another 0.5 stars...but I can't give it 5 stars since I had to use my own adapter to get the ideal arm to hold my phone. ... show more

  • Soiid
I got this low profile boom arm to use in my home office. As a remote worker, I like using a dedicated mic for my zoom calls. I was previously using a boom arm that went up and around down in front of my face. It worked, but I didn't really like having a metal arm between the screens. So I got this low profile arm to run along my desk and move my mic up towards me. This mic arm is very solid and holds my heavy mic very well. But granted, the clamping bit at the end isn't strong enough to hold my mic sideways (I use a Samson Q9U...a very heavy mic), so I have to tilt that part up and the mic "rests" on the end with the attachment pointed up. Still, the arm is holding up fine and so far no issues. I eventually hope to change to a lighter mic in the future but so far, I'm please with this arm. ... show more

  • Great solution for the monitor crowded desk
I consider myself a bit of a power user, I work in it and my life evolves around technology, so I have four monitors currently taking up a large portion of my desk, and the recent 4th one took away my ability to use the microphone arm I had before. This low profile Lowercase and microphone arm was able to clear the underside of my monitor is, and bring my microphone to a comfortable level. Well like a lot is this arm is a lot more sturdy than my previous one, as I had to use Teflon tape around the bottom to keep it infirmly, which wasn't all that firm regardless that it was still a lot of wobble Definitely a big fan of this microphone arm, and recommend it if you're facing the same situation or a similar one! ... show more

  • Great quality!
I got this to replace a cheaper spring style boom and as soon as I opened the box knew it was the right choice. Very well made and easy to put together! It's sturdy easily adjusts and comes with an extra extension if you need it to be taller. It comes with a couple of adapters for attaching different things a phone adapter and a normal microphone holder. I use a condenser mic that sits in a shock mount and it screwed right on with no issue. It also has some velcro wire straps to help with cable management which was a welcomed addition. I highly recommend this item. ... show more

  • Actually super versatile and sleek
This is the perfect mic stand for a streaming or podcast setup. It is built super solid, and has a ton of options. The option start with how it's a slimline mic stand that will allow you to adjust the height at the swivel. You can also adjust the rotation of the mic itself. I use a pretty heavy mic and it has no issues holding it. It also comes with pieces you can use for a phone setup. So all around, a huge improvement from my last boom mic. ... show more
