I bought this for an upcoming vacation to Europe. My wife has a similar personal item to stow under the seat, and after our last trip, I envied her for having such a great bag. I thought it would be perfect for me too, so I ordered the 17 inch upgraded version. Love all the 20+ pockets, and the huge main pocket makes it so easy to access your stuff you need on the plane. I carry my meds in the lower front pocket, my tablet in the upper front pocket, and an accordion folder with our reservations/flight/event tickets in the laptop pocket. We also have our passport and document pouch in the laptop pocket. The main compartment easily fits my bulky headphones, travel pillow, snacks, umbrella, and liquids bag, with plenty of room for wet wipes and other smaller items. It's truly amazing how much you can fit into such a small bag. The only problems I've had are how stiff it is when it arrives, very hard to flatten out and put things into. The zippers are gold, a bit gaudy for me. And the shoulder straps are obviously not meant for men with wide shoulders, I can get it on my back, but my wife has to help me to get it back off. Luckily it has a luggage strap so it will sit on top of my rolling carry on and I'll likely rarely to never have to put it on my back. It looks like a leather or leather alike material in the pictures but it is actually an orange backpack/cloth material. I did not return it because I needed it for work. I will say that the size of the interior is really nice, my work laptop fits nicely in the sleeve. The pocket organization is okay. I've been looking for a durable backpack with wide shoulder straps to take on trips that would have a separate laptop compartment and a deep enough pocket for me to pack a change of clothing, makeup & toiletries and outer pockets for passport, plane tickets, cell phone & miscellaneous, still have room for my crossbody purse and fit under the seat on planes. This one is PERFECT! I also love that it has the elastic band in the back to sit easily on the luggage handle for easy transport. It is also very convenient to take on day trips during my vacations. Bought it for my wife’s computer and accessories since she edits videos she needed organization. There is a spot in this bag for everything and she is no longer fumbling to find cords, external hard drives, notebooks or other. We cut a piece of cardboard and placed in the bottom of the main compartment to help sturdy it to stay opened up inside. Once it’s fill it stands up quite well. I discovered this backpack through my friend when I saw her traveling for work on the subway in New York City. The backpack looks sturdy, modern and not bulky. I absolutely LOVE IT!! I have been wearing it non-stop since I purchased it when I travel to work. I’m a private practice Speech Pathologist and do in-home therapy. Bought this bag 2 years ago and use it daily, touching it multiple times a day as I take it to/from my car. It is incredibly durable, takes cleaning wipes well, and holds a ton of stuff.
