I compared 3 different brands of outdoor kitty houses before buying this one. The K&H brand houses are excellent but almost double the price. Kitty City makes a good outdoor house like this one (same price) but with two openings. I settled on this one because the reviews were great and it was a bit longer than the Kitty City house. When I removed this from its box I could instantly feel the quality of the materials. The house is easy to construct and sturdy Velcro strips keep the sides together and the top on. There is only one opening so this house will not offer an escape route. That’s important if you’re not using it in a fenced or enclosed area like I am. It’s my first day having this. I bought it for a stray who spends the evenings in my backyard. We just got our first cold front so I’m hoping he will use this house tonight! I already own a K&H “Lectro-Soft” heating pad (small-18”x14”) and it fits perfectly inside! I highly recommend that heating pad if your Love’s Cabin is near an outlet. It warms to a perfect (and safe) temperature only when the cat is laying down on it. TL;DR: This is a high-quality outdoor cat house for an excellent price. You will not be disappointed if you buy it! If you’re using it in an open area with lots of critters and possible predators, I recommend the houses from Kitty City or K&H because they have a second opening for an escape route.

Super easy to assemble with Velcro closures on roof and walls. Sturdy. Good looking. BUT cannot prove that the wall board holds heat, so I lined it with sun shade, then poly fabric, then mat

My feral cat loves the comfort, and warmth of his new house. I love the appearance, as he was sleeping in a box. It is simple to assemble with Velcro sides. The Velcro is strong. I don’t know if it’s waterproof, since it’s on my porch and it hasn’t rained. I do know that from Day 1 till tonight, he LOVES his house. I can’t catch him and or touch him, if out if the house. But, he LOVES his house so much he will tolerate a little chin rub.

Got this for a little feral cat that's been coming around since the colder months are coming. It was easy to assemble & the quality is good. It is spacious & cozy looking. Overall it was worth the money.

Assembled the cat house and placed it on the ledge under the window overhang out of the elements where the stray cat sleeps on an old big soft throw pillow. Placed the cat house next to the pillow, hoping that the stray cat would go inside. Added additional thick rug piece to the floor for addional warmth and comfort. He did go inside one time (that I observed) when it was raining to get out of the wet, but most days here there is no rain, and the cat prefers to sleep on the old cushion in front of the cat house, as he has for a very long time. I can observe the stray cat through the window and often check on him. The stray cat knows me well as he waits for the food that I put out for him the same time every day, but I cannot get within 3 feet of him and cannot touch him, he is very apprehensive of me, but likes the food. He gets plenty of good food and fresh water daily so he is never hungry or thirsty. No cat should have to suffer hunger or thirst, ever. It would be nice if we could become better friends, I could have him neutered, and bring him inside (I have 4 other cats inside, --along with 2 dogs-- all 4 cats were once strays outside, all have been "fixed" and all are very clean and very happy and friendly and like lots of attention). Maybe one day the stray and I can become better friends. For now I have provided the best shelter for him that I can give. I do wish that this cat house was stronger and the walls thicker and better covered with warmer material. I have done the best I can packing the walls with special cat warmer bedding for better insulation, and the cat seems to like it OK and probably stays warm enough at night.
