The pictures, i thought very clearly demonstrated a product that would fold or bend easily with a heavy dog, but my 8 pound brillo pad mix shouldn't do any damage. I liked that they had storage too, so I ordered a set of three in grey. I was not prepared for the heft the package had when it arrived. Its certainly not the lightweight item I thought it was, its much sturdier than i thought, I love that you can zip them together to keep them from separating, and the lids are nicely padded. The texture of the material has not caught on my dogs paws either. I keep my dogs pet records in here, grooming supplies, toys, extra leashes, coats, collars etc. The largest one is for blankets, and the middle one will hold a first aid kit. We ordered these for my elderly dog that won’t/can’t get up to the couch or bed anymore without assistance. I was worried these would be flimsy but the structure is strong and holds the weight of my 15lb dog without any issue. I love that you can store things inside the stairs with the removable stop, making it extra storage! My older dog wasn’t able to jump onto our higher bed anymore, so we tried these steps. He was hesitant at first, but after showing him a few times, he became a pro. It’s been such a relief seeing him able to join us in bed again on his own. Pros: • Very versatile — easy to set up and rearrange as needed • Collapsible but surprisingly sturdy — I stood on them to test and they held my full weight without wobbling • Great for older or smaller dogs who need help with height they used to manage on their own • Bonus: the steps double as storage, which is a nice touch for smaller spaces Cons: • I tripped over them a few times at night before finding the right placement. Recommend positioning them somewhere you won’t stumble on a 2am bathroom trip, or add a nightlight nearby. Bottom line: A few nights of trial and error on placement, but once dialed in, these have been a great addition — my dog’s happy and back in bed with us, and the storage feature is a nice bonus. ... show more

Easy to put up, and the steps add a good amount of storage space. Step height is just right, and it’s pretty sturdy that my 50+lbs husky gets on it with no issue

Let me be the first to say that it is highly disappointing how difficult it is to find durable stairs for a dog that weighs more than a lap dog. Every item I looked at only supported a dog's weight that was under 50 or 40 pounds, despite their advertising claims - it was solely based off customer reviews that majority of these false-claimed products do not support bigger dogs and have failed or broken to hold up their larger pet. Well, I'm here to tell you, Love Cabin made a product that can do that :) After extensive research, I finally came across these grey 4-step dog stairs, and I will admit I was very hesitant to spend the money not knowing if this would be durable for years to come, but I had no choice. My dog is a Plott Hound and Pitbull mix, super lean coming in about 60 pounds. He has developed arthritis in his back legs and my bed/mattress is over 23 inches from the ground, so every night that he wants to go bed, he paces around the bed like he is attempting to jump up but he is nervous that his back legs will give out again and he falls (which he has several times before). The crazy part is, he is so stubborn that he loathes when I try to offer my help and lift him up. I think dogs in general hate being picked up, but he always has to know "he can" do it alone so he rather try to. Anyways, these arrived, great quality might I add! The outside fabric is washable (I already got a stain out the first day - just grab some Dawn powerwash and a damp microfiber towel); the padding is well made/well padded where the dog's feet will not sink into the stairs and prevent them from jumping like a foam product would, but it also gives their feet some cushion. The storage is just... UGH.... amazing! The more you put inside, the more the stairs will stay in place and not shift. I weigh 135 and I'm 5'4 and was able to walk up and down perfectly. My son is 6 feet tall and 170 pounds and he also walked up and down perfectly. It truly can handle heavier dogs! The only issue I had was at first the zippers would not go far enough down that I could attach/zip up another connected stair. The easiest way to do this is to lay it on your bed and zip one at a time - doing this while they were upright and on the floor was too difficult. Eventually they came together and I have not had any issues. Now, I also must say that I haven't had any issues BECAUSE my dog is a chicken and terrified of the stairs. He had a stare-off with them for a solid hour because I tried tricking him by putting treats on each stair to get him to go up & down. That did not work. It has been a struggle getting him to trust the stairs, and honestly, although I know he can still jump on the bed to some degree, I wanted to at least buy them now so he can start getting used to them and if the time ever comes that the arthritis gets too bad, he will suck up his pride and take the stairs. The saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" surely applies here. He will be 14 years old next year, so if you have a stubborn dog, try to get them adjusted to stairs way in advance. Regardless, this was a great purchase! Love the color, the durability, the storage, and they seem like they will last a long time. Would absolutely purchase again! ... show more
