This the second camp mattress loke this that we have gotten. This one is even better!!! You will be out in the forest getting your best night sleep. It is so thick and comfortable that it is like you are sleeping on a cloud. You can adjust the firmness with how much you inflate it. It is mostly self inflating but you do have to finish it off with a few pumps of air. I will warn you it is on thr bulky size but I think it is worth the space in the car. Really great. comfortable, lightweight to carry and easy to inflate / deflate even with a 3rd party USB inflator. Only downside is that it does come quite compact but you'll never get it that compact again when deflating it. It ends up being decently big and while light enough to carry with one hand as a male adult, it takes up about as much space as a large suitcase in a car when packed. This mattress is awesome. I don’t usually take time to write reviews but this thing is amazing. It inflates on its own so there is no need to need to drag a pump with you. Just flip the valve and wait about 10 min if that and that’s it. Well constructed and extremely comfortable. No need to worry about air leaks because it’s filled with foam, been there done that. We normally use a foam pad for camping but needed something more portable so decided to give this a shot. Super comfortable. The self inflating feature works great. Does not deflate on its own! I recommend getting the lost horizon pump they offer. You will need it to deflate. It also is rechargeable with a light and usb port which is nice. It does take up quite a bit of space and is kind of heavy. Good middle ground for portability while still being a really comfy bed for two. ... show more

I have not taken this pad camping yet but it seems very durable and VERY comfortable. I use these over air mattresses because my dogs don’t pop these. The only downside is it’s a BEAST trying to deflate by yourself. I have a single 2.5” pad and it rolls up with ease but that is not the case with this one since it is so thick. If you’re camping solo i recommend a smaller pad but if you have an extra person I would imagine it is not too bad. Overall very happy with this product so far. ... show more

I actually love this self inflatable foam pad. It’s very supportive. Comfort is just a matter of adjusting the amount of air pressure. I usually start by filling to full capacity, which feels a little too much like a blow up mattress. I release a little air and it feels more like a foam mattress pad. Not too narrow and plenty of room to relax. No elbows on the floor of the tent. I really felt protected from the ground and stayed warm. The down sides: it’s bulky, a tad heavy and sometimes awkward to top off with the bag. However, once you fill to full capacity using self inflation and bag top off, the sleep pad will auto fill, usually completely, without topping off. Even with a few cons, it was worth every penny for the support it offered. Just didn’t feel the ground and that is a Win! ... show more

We got this for car camping & ordered an electric pump to deflate it. I recommend NOT getting an off-brand pump, as ours didn’t work at all. We deflated it the old fashion way as per recommendations and it actually was fine - my hunny is pretty strong/200lbs and he was able to sit & roll it up (using his weight). Worth it to order the “electric” version for $20 more and it will come with a tiny portable pump for deflation. It inflates perfectly, as the other reviews stated, we opened it when we got to camp and in hours it was ready, and we didn’t need to add extra air at all. It’s big, don’t get me wrong, maybe about the size of those old fashion canvas sleeping bags. Perfect for car camping. We camped twice with it so far and our nights sleep was SO COMFY and well rested. We have a king size temperpedic bed at home, I’m 5’3 and he is 6’1 (and we have an infant), and we felt it was plenty of space and super comfortable. It filled our 4 person tent nicely with some room for a baby mattress and our gear. Highly recommend at such a good price. This is a wonderful spare bed and I’d even use it for guests if we need it. ... show more

I bought this product last year after being disappointed over and over with air filled mattresses. I've used this self inflating pad several times for camping and as an extra bed for guests. Just open the valves and it inflates on it's own. If you need a little more cushion, I do since I have back issues, adding a little more air is a breeze. The foam core gives me the support I need for a good night's rest. Pretty easy to deflate and roll up. There's plenty of room to slip it back into the carry bag. I'm very happy with this product and will never go back to blow up mattresses again. ... show more
