something had been nesting under the hood of my car with a big cache of nuts. luckily the replacement wires from the last time this happened had not yet been attacked. This is a battery operated device with sound a flashing lights, and in combo with dryer sheets tucked around + critter ritter spraying monthly has seemingly warded off the attackers. Used to Deter mice in car . Helped but not mouse proof . Put 2 under the hood this time of car and still found a new nest on engine . Not eating wires like before . Now eating air filter and cabin air filter . What I need is a cat . Wife says no more pets with fleas !!!!!!!!

    • One of three failed in 11 months - they do repel rats under the hood.
This is the third one of these that I purchased. This month, this one just stopped working. I tested the batteries and found them to be fine. I replaced the batteries with new, and the device still does not work. I tested the new batteries. They are also fine. I ordered a replacement device for this one, removed the batteries from the non-functioning device, placed them in the new device, and the new device is fine. So, this device, purchased in June 2021 failed in May 2022. I did not understand there was a 1-year warranty. The vendor immediately sent me a free replacement. The first two that I bought are functioning normally. They do repel rats under the hood, combined with Irish Spring soap chips in cups. We place two devices and two cups with Irish Spring chips under the hood every night and remove in the morning. We place another one under a chair on the lanai. We also place Irish Spring soap chips inside the air conditioning cabin air filter in the outside car. The rats now leave us alone, and I have another one for free to place on the other side of the lanai. Thank you. ... show more

I had mice visiting my grill. Eating out of the drip pan and around the burners. Could see with mouse turds everywhere. I bought this 3 years ago. And it worked from the beginning and keeps on ticking! Amazing! They usually would come in the winter when the grill is covered. Just uncovered it and not one mouse turd!
