Heavy, wool blend kept me warm through hours of college tours in windy, teens and twenty degree weather in Western NY. The hood is deep enough to stay on even with a ponytail (most hoods are too shallow and won’t cover my forehead with a ponytail or bun). The design is really pretty. Buttons and lapels add a nice touch to set this coat apart from other trench style coats. Only complaint is that it picks up lint and dog hair like crazy! The red color shows all white fuzzies from sweaters, maybe wouldn’t if it were camel or white. It’s worth all of the lint roller papers though because the color is rich and beautiful! No odd odor, came folded on hanger, no creases that didn’t hang out in a day. I am 5’5”, 180ish lbs. Size 14 pants, L or xl tops as I like them loose. I ordered up to an XL for room for sweaters and hoodies under the coat. It is perfect for that. A large would fit with a thin shirt. There’s about 2” of overlap (button to button holes) when I pull it closed tightly with a thin shirt on. Nice that I can pull it tight and tie the belt. The arms and shoulders fit well. I can comfortably raise my arms to drive etc. (in other trench or pea style coats this was an issue) Highly recommend this coat!

Heading into my 40th bday I felt like it was time to get a "grown woman's coat"... I absolutely love it. I love that it comes with a hood as well. The fit is perfect for my barely 5'0" frame. I get so many compliments on it. It's heavy and warm. I feel myself reaching to want to put it on everytime I leave the house... even when it's not as cold out... the quality is great, and I paid just under $100. Buy it, you won't regret it!

I love everything about this coat! It's not what I would call heavy, but it's still extremely warm. I can move easily in this coat, it's not restricting. It's really good at blocking the blowing wind, and works really well for average days. But if the temperature drops below 30, I suggest adding a sweater or hoodie under the coat. It's going to look great with or without a extra layer. I love how stylish, comfortable and warm this coat is. You can dress this up or dress it down, it's still going to be great. But the most important thing is that this coat does it's job, and does it well. It's very well made, so it can easily last for years, so it's definitely worth the money, because I don't have to replace it every year or two. And this is a classic look that will never go out of style.

The coat is a beautiful red color. Nice quality. It's a button on hood. The M fit too small. I'm 4'11" and 135 lbs. I could fit in it. It was too tight and it wouldn't close. I probably need a size L. It was sent crumpled in a bag with no tags, a poor presentation, reason for not 5 stars given.

This coat is exactly what I expected—and more. This isn’t a lightweight coat—it is heavy, y’all! It really keeps you warm during those polar vortexes! I love the style and cut, with the belted waist and the ample hood. The fabric is a deep, beautiful red wool. Like other reviewers, it ran a bit large on me, but I kept it so I could wear sweaters and vests under it and still button it. My only wish is that the buttons had been sewn on tighter. But, I will do that myself!
