I bought two ivory/stone, they are gorgeous. Absolutely, no smell, it laid flat completely in a few hours, and the color was perfect. Very soft not cheap looking at all. It’s thicker than those other area rugs for the price. I didn’t use an under pad either I felt it didn’t need it, didn’t slide around at all. Very happy with the product. I am in love with this rug. It is absolutely beautiful--so beautiful in its neutral colors that you could put it with anything. I have the 9x13 for my living room. I did not put a pad underneath and I have furniture on it that will hold it in place. It is soft and the quality is good. I wish if had came rolled instead of folded--or if it could have been folded with more care. However, I am confident the wrinkles will come out. I looked at many rugs on Amazon and am so glad this was my final decision. I found this rug available from other vendors, but Amazon was still the best buy. If you feel undecided, don't be. The media could not be loaded. So far, beautiful!! Very good quality, worth the money, texture is very soft and just enough padding for what I wanted. Smell is not bad, just new smell. Perfect size! Great rug that is HIGH quality. Great colors and thick enough that it doesn't feel cheap. Size is spot on and easy to roll out of the packaging. Doesn't move once its down on the floor. The only con is the smell. Very strong smell of plastic or some type of dirt. I can't place my finger on what it is but I smelled it outside the wrapping and then when I unwrapped it, it was a strong scent in my house for days. It's been over a week and I still feel like I smell it when I enter my home or stand near the room the rug is in. I'm debating on spraying it with something or sitting a fan near it to air it out. Either way, it looks great and seems to be good quality. Next time, I will open the rug in the garage, spray it and air it out before bringing in the house. ... show more

The rug is beautiful, just right in thickness and soft on the feet. Problem is the large ridges from the folds will not go away. We put a thin rug pad under it, pulled and re-rolled and stretched it. They kept coming back. There also was a slight off gassing smell. In hindsight I should have bought it in the summer to keep the windows open. ... show more
