I usually get those mats that have the little hole throughout and even though I lay it to dry it starts getting nasty inside the holes after a month or 2. I have a 2 year old, 7 year old and 14 year old and had a dog I would bathe in the tub using the mat so they wouldn't fall. Finally I decided to get one with out the holes even though it didn't seem like it would be as comfortable. I'm glad I did. This mat has so many suction cups and it long enough to go across my whole bath tub. Its surprising comfortable for looking as thin as it does. Its standing up pretty good to kids and dogs, no rips or scratches or anything. There hasn't been any mold or even a nasty smell so far. Time will tell but so far its the only one I've been pleased with and would definitely recommend to others with kids and pets. ... show more

This helps my 6 month old sit up in the bath without sliding around but I have to make sure and push the mat down Everytime because the suction cups come up.
