The case is precisely engineered. The edges are smooth and straight. The cutouts for speakers and usb are right on. The case snaps around the pad with no gaps. Hope the photos show this. In my opinion it looks as good as any laptop. The slightly pebbled texture is great for looks, grip and a cool feel. Yet it doesn't hold crumbs and is very spill resistant. The case seems like it'll outlast the iPad. I tried to also capture the backlit keyboard which I think is a big plus. It's better to type on than Apple's or Microsoft's efforts at same. Granted, it's not a best in class laptop keyboard but it doesn't have to be. It[s comfy for long sessions. The track pad is similarly very fine but not the best. All told, I am delighted with this case. It allows me to leave the laptop at home when I travel. Two trade offs in its design: 1. It adds significant weight to the iPad. That said, it's still highly portable and easy to use. A MacBook Air weighs less and has a 13 inch screen. 2. The kickstand feature requires some support so the display stays upright, unlike a laptop but in the same vein as a Surface for those who are familiar with it. ... show more

I have had this folio case for a while. It is used, off and on, for my 6th generation iPad pro 12.9". It is quite robust, the keyboard works well and the case provides good protection. It definitely makes the iPad operate far more like a laptop than I thought it would. There are a few caveats, though. One, it's heavy. It's like, quite heavy. It makes the iPad weigh more than my macbook pro. It's thick. It's a very thick case for such an elegant piece of hardware. It's hard to use without a table. The flap that folds out doesn't quite offset the weight and provide the stability that a laptop has when using it literally on a lap. However, I do like that it uses the hardware connector same as the Apple branded magic keyboard - this was my primary reason for buying it. There is also no real way to carry the apple pencil without relying on simply the magnet connector. Overall, I'd probably have gotten the Apple branded keyboard. Pros: Good protection Keyboard and mouse work great Use of the hardware connector (i.e. not bluetooth) Cons: Heavy Awkward Thick No holder for apple pencil close enough to a laptop that it is irritating when I try to use it like one outside of sitting at a desk or table. ... show more

I had to post a review right away even though I just received this yesterday. For an aftermarket product, Logitech really impressed me with this iPad Pro add on. The first thing that attracted me was the detachable keyboard. Using my iPad as an iPad (and not a MacBook) I felt the Magic Keyboard as very limiting as it doesn’t allow to use much as a tablet with a pencil. I have pretty much every Apple product, but my only complaint about Apple’s accessories is they seem to think we live in a world where we should use their products naked and with little protection. Installation and Fit: My only option with the 1st Generation iPad Pro (2016) was to cover the glass with a protective screen. That alone usually limits your ability to find a good case. And so I used the same with this 7th Generation iPad Pro, Logitech exceeded this expectation by allowing a case with a snug fit but flexible frame to allow for the perfect bevel around the edges. Setup & Configuration: The device is intuitive to notify to install a simple Logitech utility to make the merge of it to IOS smooth. There was no custom configuration needed to use this item and all of its features right out of the box. You can see from the images it’s attractive at all angles. (Although if they really wanna give Apple a run they would have tons more colors)If I did have one complaint it would be the kickstand vs the stability of the magic keyboard stand when it comes to being more easily knocked over which I actually did the first night I had on my night table. Otherwise Im both impressed with the product and the price. Ill be selling my magic keyboard to recoup my original investment and pay nothing extra thanks to Logitech!! You won’t be disappointed!!! Or as other reviews state, don’t think about it just purchase!!! ... show more

I like the versatility and the appreciable sturdiness if the device. It adds a noticeable amount of weight so it's really a plus that I can easily separate and leave the keyboard section off when it's not needed. The keyboard off makes it significantly lighter, while my iPad is still protected by the case covering the back and all sides. Recently, the keyboard was lagging a lot, to the point that it was words behind. I found out there was an update to 15.2 due. Once I installed the update, it was back to typing as normal. The backlight works well and without being a distraction. Just because the touchpad was supposed to be improved, I had to touch in all the corners and along the edges. The sensitivity is everywhere. I have a 4th generation iPad so not the one this keyboard case is sold for. The speakers are somewhat obstructed. But my sound is not so greatly distorted as to be a distraction while I'm listening to different things, YouTube, podcasts, music. Since it's new to me I haven't used all buttons. This is also my my first foray into the Apple ecosystem. MmI haven't learned everything about the keyboard's interaction and touchpad fingerings but I'm working on it. While this keyboard case is rather pricy, I'm still glad I bought it. It's easily my favorite, and I've tried a few that worked well. ... show more
