I received this today. Just set it up which took about 1 minute (literally), and I am SO HAPPY with this purchase. It is better than I expected, and although I wouldn’t say I am picky, I am tough to truly impress, and I am VERY impressed with this. I originally bought an Android tablet that came with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, got very good reviews (4.9/5) and was around $100, brand new. Within a few minutes of using it, I was annoyed with it (which I later realized though some troubleshooting was due to a lower level operating system in used in less expensive Android products causing a slight lag time, and the fact that it just wasn’t totally intuitive or fun to use. I had a 1st generation iPad years ago that was intuitive, without lag time, and immediately fun right out of the box, so I returned the Android and decided to go for a refurbished iPad given my previous experience with the 1st generation being better than the brand new-15 years-more-modern Android “deal.” Also, I love Apple products (have an iPhone and Mac), so I decided on a refurbished iPad (9th generation), which was about twice the price of the Android tablet, and I got this Logitech combo touch after a lot of research and questions with Rufus, who kept pointing me back towards the Logitech combo touch as the most highly recommended keyboard case for my iPad. So, while, and so while it was significantly more expensive than other iPad keyboard cases with mouse touch pads (I think I paid about $125 for this, brand new), I decided to take a chance, although I figured there was a better than 50% chance I would think it wasn’t worth the money or that I would prefer the Apple Magic Keyboard. Anyway, like I said, I got it today, just set it up, and although I typically don’t take the time to write reviews of products, the first thing I did was come to Amazon to write this review because that is how much I love it. Anyway, Amazon sells refurbished/renewed older generation iPads in excellent condition (looks and functions as new) with WiFi + cell, 128 GB for < $150 and refurbished/renewed Logitech combo touch in excellent condition for $99, so, if you want a tablet with a keyboard and mouse on a budget, I would recommend this setup over the too-good-to-true brand-new off-brand tablets with Android operating systems. Yes, that means paying more for an older generation iPad and refurbished products (iPad and Logitech multitouch) as opposed to a brand new off-brand 2025 tablet, keyboard and mouse package with an Android operating system, but it will give you an EXCELLENT tablet set-up for <$250 (including tax and shipping) that functions like a laptop, is fun & intuitive right out of the box, and takes no time or effort to set up, as opposed to a glitchy off-brand product that will most likely end up collecting dust or result in you returning bc it is just not enjoyable to use. I can’t speak to how more expensive tablets with functional Android operating systems compare to the iPad/logitech combo touch setup, but I can say that the iPad/logitech combo touch setup is AWESOME!!! 💻❤️☺️

I had one of these previously and loved it, but it got damaged. I replaced it with a cheap keyboard/ cover and regretted it — that’s another review. Replaced the cheap one with this when the cheap one stopped working properly. Should have spent the money for this high quality product in the first place. Backlit screen, velvety touch to the keys and both stable and durable. You get what you pay for. It’s a bit heavier than the cheap versions, which is a minor issue when traveling. That said, no going back. This is a great product.

Intended Use: School notes, Essay writing, Productivity booster, Protection This thing is legit! I am so glad that this has been made available for entry-level iPads. I take a lot of notes in school, and I also like to work with multiple screens (in Finance). One of the worries I had about it was that there was no ESCAPE button, but I was able to program the “Control” button as my ESCAPE, and it works beautifully. The typing is very comfortable and responsive. I love the feel of the keys when they are placed, and to me, it sounds more appealing to the ear than my MacBook Air - idk, you will simply have to try it, very satisfying. Anyways, I’ve had this thing for a day, and I’ve already written and submitted a short essay for school on it (the test I had to put it through), and I am very satisfied. I like the function keys at the top, the trackpad is spot on, and absolutely cool to have for an iPad, and I appreciate how comfortable it is to hold in reader mode with the easily detaching keyboard. I read that some were concerned about the keyboard detaching when you move the thing. I’d like to respond that you don’t have to worry unless you’re manhandling the thing, snatching it upwards or sideways abruptly, or just being careless. If you’re calm and taking care of your things, you will be just fine. I am a huge fan! I also purchased the Logitech Crayon with this keyboard, and it fits snugly in the top loop. I’m not an artist, but I enjoy the feel of handwriting notes occasionally, so the Crayon meets my needs perfectly.

Like most reviews said, the cursor on the mouse pad lags a bit and definitely isn’t of the same quality as an actual laptop. That being said, I feel like I could get used to it. I’ve used Logitech for years now, all of their products are top notch with just a few glitches. For this product, it seems the magnets aren’t super strong and the keyboard portion falls off pretty easily. But this isn’t a huge deal, and I love that the keyboard is detachable, it will make my life easier when I don’t need the whole setup, yet my iPad will still be protected by the case. The reason I purchased a new Logitech after using my old one for about 3-4 years is because it seemed like the iPad and the keyboard stopped communicating and it wouldn’t allow me to use the keyboard function. But 3-4 years of using this case every single day for at least an hour a day sounds good quality to me. I urge Logitech to come out with some newer colors. I want a beautiful light, rose gold keyboard case or perhaps a beautiful light blue or light lavender. These serious colors make looking at my iPad less fun.

It is good, protects the ipad, has a band to put the pencil in, you can take off the keyboard things i love -it has a mouse pad which not a lot of keyboards for ipad do, i find it really useful -it protects the ipad a lot -you can adjust the brightness and volume from the keyboard -the keyboard has lights so it's good to work in dark places -it has key to search, to lock the ipad and to get out of the app -the support for the ipad it's really good to keep it standing, holds firm -i really like the texture hahaa some cons: -you have to learn to use different keys to a normal keyboard (it's not that hard, i'm used to it by now) -sometimes the keyboard it's not same as how the keys are marked, depends on which app you're using, sometimes it is the same as a desktop keyboard to have to kind of learn and guess which key is what (kinda annoying but you get used to it too) -sometimes it disconnects, you have to take off and on the keyboard to "reset it" when it stops working or gets laggy, that's enough to fix it so it's not that big deal -it adds weight to the ipad, almost like a laptop, maybe it can weight more than some laptops, it's not that bad, but it is a thing to consider overall i would recommend it 100% it's definitely worth the price and it will last long (i'm going on my 2nd year with it)

I have always used my 9th generation iPad with the Apple Pencil and GoodNotes when I was in meetings to hand write my notes. Since changing jobs, I’ve required access to more Word and Excel documents and found the iPad didn’t have the screen real estate to support the built in keyboard and still allow me to see everything I needed. So I resorted to bringing my MacBook Pro everywhere. Since upgrading to this keyboard, its been working great. It’s like having a mini laptop with me. The keyboard is nicely backlit for working in a darker environment and has the ability to adjust the backlight brightness. Along with keyboard brightness keys at the top of the keyboard are keys to adjust screen brightness, bring up the on-screen keyboard, a “home” button that takes you back to the main iPad screen, volume, audio controls, and a lock button that shuts the iPad off. The keyboard functions much better than Bluetooth keyboards I’ve tried in the past. There is no lag when typing. The iPad reacts to key commands just like the MBP, Cmd-tab even cycles through apps on the iPad. (Like alt-tab on a Windows machine). The is a weight increase when adding the keyboard to the iPad, but still weights less than carrying my MBP. It all feels very sturdy. And, there’s a loop to hold my Apple Pencil. The back has a “stand” that fold out. It’s pretty sturdy an doesn’t feel cheap like some other cases I’ve used. The keyboard is easily removed when you don’t need it, which brings me to the only drawback. If you carry it without the keyboard, there is no protection for the screen. Over all I’m very satisfied with the case.

Absolutely love this case. The fit for my gen 9 is perfect. The mouse pad works very well and the magnet keeps the keyboard on perfect well as well as when closed it stays closed. It was the great price for the buy. I’m glad I was able to find this because I didn’t like how other cases had to have the Bluetooth on for the keyboard to work and I would have to buy a mouse just to connect as well. I like to keep things simple and this case does that for me.

I wanted to lighten my portable electronics as I had been lugging a 10 yo laptop (doorstop!) around as I traveled for business. I couldn’t quite make the full jump from Microsoft laptop to iPhone for functionality reasons and wanted to try something in between - but couldn’t part with the keyboard entry. Although I’m still working on full conversion, this made all the difference. This does not “pivot” like some models to turn the screen for presentation but is exactly what I needed for straight on personal use. It does not use separate charging or battery replacement, so ‘all or nothing’ in terms of power. It connects easily by merging the iPad with the keyboard and closes to provide protection for the iPad screen. A simple disconnect allows the iPad to work independently. Although I haven’t yet purchased “the pencil”, I’ve finally found a use for all the soft rubber tipped pens that I’ve collected. I’ve added the “ Paper soft” screen protector for future editing that may occur and to decrease fingerprint crud, but that may be overkill. ** Be sure to clearly define the iPod model -there were changes in compatibility from iPad 9- 10 & iPod pro.**
