I only use my Quest 2 for Supernatural, which is a music/exercise game that requires me to move around a lot. I'm also a caregiver, and while someone else is in charge while I play my game, it's helpful to be aware of my surroundings. These are off-ear so offer somewhat of a more open environment, but the sound is better than my earbuds with their transparency mode. I feel surrounded by sound, but if someone comes over and talks to me I can hear them instead of being startled when they reach out and touch me to get my attention when I'm wearing earbuds or on-ear headphones. I'm not an audiophile, but the sound is much improved and immersive with these little add-on speakers. They do not make the headset feel that much heavier but I do think I need to upgrade my headstrap from the one which came with it, as it does tend to slip more during my games. ... show more

    • Audio is mediocre, but nothing else matches.
The audio quality leaves a lot to be desired, but the sound isolation is actually very good and they definitely get the job done. I already use the Elite Strap w/ Extended Battery, which doesn't support the link cable either, so I'm not losing anything with using these. The USB-C passthrough works as expected, but is a little jank to be honest. Make sure you plug these in, in the correct order. Headphones into the headset, strap battery pack into the headphones, then plug the charger into the back of the elite strap. Otherwise, they just won't charge. Once it's setup correctly though, they work great and I rarely have any issues. If they made a $200 version with improved audio, I would buy it in a heartbeat. ... show more

Okay so if you have a VR headset, you know that sound is a challenge, it just is. There are a million options out there for what you can do to fix it, but I recommend this one. Logitech is a big name in electronics, and for good reason. The quality is consistent, the instructions easy to use, and the flexibility is great. By that I mean this will work with a wide variety of people, not just kids or adults. It stays on easily, the sound quality is great, it's plug and play which makes it easy to use, and it is just all around a good quality upgrade for anyone who enjoys VR gaming or working out. ... show more

    • Bad across the board
100$ of pure e-waste. The good: - Build Quality is solid - Sits very well on Elite Strap - Good sound profile - No need to charge them - Plug & Play The bad: Literally every other aspect of this product. - Lift\lower to mute\unmute screws up the sound sometimes - Left\Right channel sometimes get switched - Passthrough charging isnt really charging when using the device - Overall time of playing while using the headphones is ±2h, no matter how many batteries you have. the Quest battery dies first. - On high pitch there is crackling sound coming from the device. - Logitech customer support is nonexistent for this device (been 2 weeks since i opened a ticket) Currently i put the headphones back in their box as they are impossible to use for my use case (unless you dont play more than 2h at a time) In retrospect, i wish i havent got them in the first place.     • Poorly implemented, no modification potential
The audio is pretty good, but 1: it does not work with third party (non-Facebook) headstraps. 2: The front-to-back adjustment is terrible. 3: The passthrough charging is unpredictable. 4: USB OCULUS LINK DOES NOT WORK WHEN USING THESE. Facebook brand headstraps are just plain terrible. Third parties like BoboVR make far better balanced and more comfortable straps. This will not work with any of them. Logitech: Please at least release STEP/STL files of the arm pieces of this headset so we can design and 3D print our own expansions for this! Or adapters! ... show more

    • great sound, but does not work with other accessories.
these are a massive improvement over the standard speakers for the occulus, however it plugs into the only usbc on the side of the unit, and these do affect battery life ive found which stinks because i normally use a battery extender pack on my quest and i cant run both at the same time which is such a letdown. should come with an adapter that allows you to run more than just this device. ... show more

    • Do you love bass and hate everything else? This is your headset
Playing beat saber I literally can't hear the vocals or anything due to the 20db boost to the bass. It's just a muddy mess. It sounds louder than the built in speakers and without vibrating your temples, but the audio quality is so bad as to make rhythm games like beat saber HARDER because all you hear are sound effects and the kick drum but nothing else, removing audio cues from your play that would help you stay in time. I've searched all settings and there is no way to adjust EQ, but even reducing bass in software would be half a fix. They should have used a flatter profile like the Reverb G2 and Valve Index speakers. ... show more

These are easy to install and I think greatly improve the sound quality. They are also very secure. I especially like these for playing Beat Saber and they definitely help with the music. You may need a larger case if you plan on keeping these on, as they do not if in my case even though it is a larger one sized for the Elite strap. ... show more
