Pretty solid little camera. The privacy shutter is great for when paranoid, much better than a post-it note and better for the trees. Seriously, it performs well. I use it for WebEx and Zoom and it was plug and play, just have to remember to sometimes point the software being used to the microphone in the camera. Sound is good to those you may be speaking to and it does not pick up much ambient noise. Sometimes the auto focus tries a little too hard and goes fuzzy for a moment, however for the price point and performance it is great. Also it clips on monitor well and holds solid. ... show more

You can see the difference this webcam makes! Attached are pictures taken with this webcam, and my with internal webcam. The pictures were taken just moments apart with the exact same lighting. The proof is in the pudding people! You can clearly see the improvement in lighting and fine details this webcam provides. With the added software, you can also adjust the white balance and auto-focus. However, this webcam is ready to go out of the box and the additional software is actually unnecessary if you do not care to change the settings. Just plug it into a USB-port and go. I am also very pleased with how well this webcam travels. I am able to throw it into my computer bag and it has held up nicely. The shutter does a great job protecting the glass lens and it remains scratch-free to this day. You won't regret getting the shutter. Well worth the added expense. ... show more

Pro's: - Exceptional image quality compared to other webcams - Lights up when in use, so you know when you are recording - Has a flip up lens cover, so you can make sure people can't see you when you don't want them to Con's: - More expensive than other webcams I had bought another lower cost webcam prior to buying this webcam. The other camera was very highly rated on amazon and only cost $35 and did 1080p recording. Since it was cheap and highly rated, I bought it. After using the other camera in several zoom meetings, I really did not like its image quality. It just did not look clear at all. So, since this logitech camera was highly rated too, I decided to try this one instead. Compared to my other webcam, this camera has EXCEPTIONAL image quality. It looks so much better on screen than my other camera. It makes me look so much more professional in my online meetings. For this reason alone, it was worth the extra money I spent on this camera. We all hear those horror stories too about people accidentally recording when they shouldn't be. This camera has two nice features to keep me from recording when I don't want to. First it has a light bar around it that lights up when you are recording. It would be hard to not notice that the light is on. Also, it has a flip up lens cover to safeguard you from recording when you don't want to. I really like these two features of this camera. The only downside to this camera is that it is a bit more expensive than other cameras. However, after my experience with a cheaper camera, I definitely see that sometimes you get what you pay for. To me, the improvement in image quality was definitely worth the money. Overall, I highly recommend this product to you. Don't waste your time and money on something cheaper like I did at first.     • It is an old but robust product with a simple plastic cover
Seems to be essentially just the Logitech C920 with a simple plastic shutter cover. The C920 came out in 2010 when the iPhone 4 came out. The camera still works well but it feels like it has been left behind by how fast the photography improvements have come to the smartphone market in the last few years. The audio and video seem to be better than most laptops and positioning flexibility makes it very useful. I tested the video quality against the webcam in my 2017 vintage Lenovo Thinkpad T470's built in camera but the T470 has a weak reputation for AV. The video quality was much better on the Logitech but more current laptops probably close the gap. The simple physical shutter cover does a nice job making a clear visual confirmation that the webcam camera is not active. I didn't look but it would expect there are nice 3D printer designs for making good covers. I'm glad I got it but the whole webcam segment feels like it is stagnating. ... show more
