I was just looking for a lock for my locker at physical therapy. I came across this two pack and it was cheap so I made the purchase. They arrived fast and without any damage to the packaging or product itself. Upon first inspection the locking mechanism felt really loose on both. They are not high quality locks. I can be a couple numbers off and it will still open as well. I really don't recommend if you are really worried about security but I don't have to worry where I lock my clothes up at. Pros: I really like the extended lock option. We needed a longer lock for a rented truck that could not accommodate normal sized locks. It seems strong and sturdy. Cons: I wish that you could set your own combination. More than that, I wish the sticker with the factory combination came off easier. It is glued to the back of the lock and does not come off easily. Otherwise, I am pleased with this product. ... show more

The price is right but is it secure in preventing theft? From outward appearance it looks like so many other combination locks including those with evidence of successful performance over the years. But looks do not count when it comes to keeping your valuables safe. When I started trying it out it there were some issues that made me question if this lock is up to par. 1. Casing (back) of the lock has not been grinded down to a smooth surface. It feels like it has not been completed. 2. Shackle is very loose in two directions 3. Diai is loose on it’s axle 4 . Dial is inaccurate allowing opening of lock with incorrect numbers I don’t know if the above comments indicate this lock is inadequate at preventing tampering compared to others. it just does not make me feel confident. This is my perception. I would rather pay more for a better constructed lock than take a chance with this one. ... show more

The quality of the lock is not so good ( you can tell by the sound of the lock). You don't need to match the combination numbers to unlock it but you can use +/- 1 of your combination numbers to open. Be careful of the back of the lock which is not well made- it may scratch hand/fingers ( keep away from children). Size does matter...- remember to check if your locker fits the long shackle lock (my gym locker doesn't fit this lock as in the picture). ... show more

    • Don't get these for younger kids..or at ALL, really!!
The metal rings around the back of these locks are literally so sharp that it wouldn't be hard at all to get a decent cut by moving wrong while holding it. I got these so that my 11 y/o Daughter could practice this type of combination lock, as she is going into 6th grade in September, and will need to use one like these, that are installed into each locker at her school. So thank gosh she doesn't actually need to use these for anything more than practice (&& has quickly gotten the hang of it). After she starts school this fall, I'll be getting rid of these locks. I would usually donate them, but I just don't feel okay with doing that, because not everyone would notice an issue with its safety like I did!!! Overall, these are NOT good locks, for safety purposes first and foremost. I would NOT Recommend buying these locks!!!💯 I hope My Review has been Helpful!! 😊👍 ... show more

These locks look like those made by Masters. That's where the comparison stop. They are a bit flimsy to the touch. The metal in the back is not welded good enough. You can get a cut if you run your finger along the edge. The absolute worst part is security. I was able to open the lock with a +/-2 number from the real combination, i.e., for number 5 -- I can use 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. All will work to open the lock.
