These lock boxes work great for what I needed them for…keeping my 3 year old grandson away from my medications. If you are looking for something that will keep adults away, this isn’t it. These boxes are made of plastic that pops together. They will not keep anyone who can break plastic apart from stealing your medications. A person can just pop them apart.

We are foster parents and all medication has to be locked up. Since our kiddos take daily allergy medication and vitamins we needed something that looked nice and was easy to use. This sits on our counter in the kitchen and makes it super easy to access everything we need easily. I do wish they came with a pre-built or ready to assemble try. I used the shipping box to create one for ours. That way I don’t have to remove everything to get to the bottle in the back. I just slide out my cardboard tray, grab it, and slide it back in.

I got this to lock up my ice pop stash in the freezer. I have some very sugar-addicted kids and somehow the ices seem to disappear every time I turn my back. It's not like I can hide ices in an upper cabinet or random secret spot so I was hard-pressed to figure out how to keep the kids from taking extra ices every time they needed a sugar rush. This box fits the bill. It fit on the freezer shelf, it was roomy enough to fit a few boxes of ices, and the combination lock managed nicely even when frozen. Sadly though, my kids keep figuring out the code faster than I can change it. Changing the code is a rather simple process...remembering the new code, not as simple. One child did attempt to pry open the box with a dinner knife, and he was able to get it open somewhat before I stopped him. That said, this box is still useful for less determined kids.

It is a very flimsy box. The lock works, but the nob is tiny and slippery making it difficult to use. I got it to keep sweets out of site and reach of a family member, who tries to avoid them. It serves that purpose.
