Overall I think this longboard is legit - definitely a cut above the lower-priced generic skateboards so prevalent on Amazon. That said, I think the price is just really steep for what you get. You could go into a skate shop and build a totally decent deck w/ established brand-name components for around $200. The trucks on this board don't seem to be anything special, the deck although long is just a standard ply deck. Wheels are better than the cheapies but by no means ultra premium. In summary, price is the big sticking point for me w/ this board but it's fun to ride and feels good on pavement. ... show more

Item Shape: Complete
This is a very tricky item to review since this is a really (mostly) high end niche product. If you're not into the discipline of skating that this is a part of, you probably will find limited use for it. And if you're into that discipline, you probably already know what this is. This is a dancing longboard. For dancing mostly. Like doing some spins, doing some 180s/360s, cross step, etc. Watch a youtube video, and there are tons of them featuring this board. So to be fair to you all, I'm not a longboard dancer. I dabble mostly in surfskating and some LDP. That said, I'm familiar with the brand and can speak to some objective aspects of this board. First off, Loaded is a high end brand, as the pricing indicates. Oftentimes when companies sell completes, their pivot cups and bushings and wheels are crap. And often people recommend replacing it with Loaded stuff. So when you're the company that people recommend using as an upgrade to their stock setups, you have a reputation to uphold. This particular board uses Paris v2s, and does not come with loaded bushings as some of their other completes come with. It does come with loaded's very popular and highly rated wheels. I think that's a bit of a missed opportunity here since their bushings are very popular, and the v2 is kind of already an outdated truck when the v3 is everywhere. The deck is nice and comfortable and not cheap feeling like some other companies that make it seem like you're riding a cinderblock. It's a huge deck, because generally dancing requires a bit more space to move around. The double symmetrical kicktails are a nice touch and you don't see that too often on normal longboards. Overall the board feels good to ride, but doesn't turn all that much (I do ride surfskates so my calibration might be totally off). I think they're going for stability here, which makes sense if you're twirling around on it. i went and replaced the v2s with waterbornes for fun and it's much better for what I want it for. It is nice and flowy this way. That said for the price these are, there are cheaper options for this purpose. I can see this having a low rating if you're not using it for its intended purpose. I don't think it's very enjoyable for a cruiser at this price. But it seems like a very well made board (if you're looking to dance on it), albeit with some older trucks. With that in mind, I'd give it a 4.5 stars rounded to 5. Happy shredding! ... show more

If you are looking at this item, you probably already know why you want a long board, so the question then is how does it perform? Obviously, that's a bit subjective, but this board is AWESOME. What I always want is to get into a flow and actually not think about the board, the trucks, the wheels, the bearings - none of it. I just want to glide and when I need to maneuver, I don't want it to come up short on me or take me out of the flow because it doesn't seem like it can do what I need it to, or that it will be sketchy (unless I'm doing something sketchy). This is a great deal. If it seems expensive, then maybe you aren't really ready for this level of board yet. I mean that in the nicest way - basically you shouldn't be paying extra for something when you can't really tell the difference. This isn't ultra high end, but it is solid quality and very well thought out. I haven't really pushed the speed on this (it's about flow for me) and I've seen no indication that it would have any issues but I want to be clear that this review isn't about speed, I can't say one way or the other. This is a beautifully-crafted, professional grade longboard. The deck is made out of wood with rough grips for your feet. It's sanded and stained and perfectly smooth. The bottom is sleek and colorful but not gaudy or obnoxious. The board itself is balanced, easy to maneuver, and absorbs shock so your rides is smooth and comfortable even over bumpy terrain. This board is larger than wd expected, so that was one thing we were unsure of. But it's a pretty good board. You can maneuver it easily due to the professionally placed wheels and how they allow professional movements. It is comfortable as well.
