These lights have worked out absolutely perfectly for me. My wife prefers more of a soft white while I prefer white light. The five choices of light temperature allows us to pick exactly what we want. The handiest thing about these lights is that they are not even as thick as the drywall of the ceiling which means that you can put your hole directly over a ceiling stud without any problem. This allows you to lay out the lighting perfectly for your room without any concern for the position of the studs.

I didn't install them but my husband said they weren't bad. Didn't hear as much cursing as with past electric jobs where he has to climb through the attic and add new wiring etc so I'll take that as a positive! Added these to our kitchen/dining area where we currently have very nice soft white lights but with such a big space, it just needed a little more light throughout the room. These are perfect with the different light settings! And having the slim design allows you to put them anywhere instead of having to map out placement based on studs etc.

I am doing a huge remodel on my home. One of the hardest things to pick out is lights. It is me and my three girls in my house and all of them like different things and have lots of different opinions. Lighting has been a struggle for some reason i cannot satisfy all of them. One likes warm lighting, one likes soft white, one like bright white. I could care less. These lights made the weird arguments over the lights stop. They have brought peace to my home as now my kids can change the lights to whatever type of lighting they like most. Everyone is happy thanks to these lights. My oldest has some in her bathroom, my littles have some in theirs and they all appreciate the ability to be able to get the " good" lighting they all like.

Update: The manufacturer responded to my ask of how many wires the box is rated for and the answer is 6, in addition to the 3 wires in the box already. So, one 14/2 in and one 14/2 out. If you need to have more wires than that, then this isn’t the box for you. I still would like to see a larger junction box from the manufacturer, but I will raise it to 4 stars since it's not limited to being dead ended. Original: These are a nice set of canless lights with a few things to note. The lights themselves are made similarly to most manufacturers in this price range. They use an LED strip with a diffuser. The seal on the back isn’t the best I have seen and let a fair amount of light out of the back. I can see why they recommend silicone sealant around the opening if it is installed in a wet location. I was able to verify the products cETL/UL claims on Intertek's website so that’s a good sign. The junction box is made of thicker metal than other brands I have tested, but that doesn’t mean it’s all good there. The main issue is the size of the junction box. It really should have a listing for how many wires are rated for it, but I was unable to find that and after reaching out to the seller, I’m still waiting for a response. That being said, the space provided is 7.2 cubic inches so without a certification saying otherwise, I’m left to believe they are designed to be dead ended in the circuit. This isn’t ideal and I hope it was certified for more. If not, that would mean every light would need to be fed from another junction box that is rated for more wires. Overall, the build quality of the light is slightly worse than some brands in this category while the junction box is higher quality (ignoring the size). Adjustments for color temp being under the cover isn’t ideal since it requires you to open it and expose the wires to adjust. Other than that, it’s not a bad option and the light quality seems good. I don’t have a way to validate the 90+ cri claim, and nothing on the box says it, but it’s not hard on the eyes.

These are commonly known as "pancake" lights because they are so flat. This means that they can be mounted ANYWHERE in the ceiling even if there are joists running across the holes. Just cut a 4 1/4 inch hole, plug the lamp and the junction box together, place the junction box through the ceiling hole, and then simply fold the spring loaded clips up and slip the lamp into position. Each lamp has it's own junction box which connects together by simply plugging the integrated cable plugs together. There are also switches inside the box which allow you to choose the right lightning temperature (2700K to 5000K) for your needs. Since I used two in each location, I chose 4000K which is perfect. It's important to know that these lamps are UL APPROVED so no worries as long as they are properly installed. AND, they're also dimmable (5% to 100%) so you can fully control their brightness too! As you can see from my photos, mounting two of these lamps above each bathroom sink has made a HUGE difference... No more straining to see while shaving or or putting on makeup! I love everything about these recessed LED lamps. They're already improving the quality of life in my home.

I like that these have three distinct hues from which to choose, as well as that they are effectively plug and play. They use less energy than the old incandescent can lights, too. Unlike those, insulation can come into contact with these, enabling the installer to block the sort of heating and cooling leaks that often accompany can lighting, so they can potentially save money there, also. Five stars.

These lights were incredibly easy to install, they are flush to the ceiling and bright giving the room a updated clean look in no time. I like that I can easily change the temperature of the lights, I prefer a warm light which usually means it's not as bright. That is not the case with this set of lights. They are warm and bright. I installed on outer corners of my dining room and connected to a dimmer switch. These are the finishing touches the room needed. Great product.
