We bought this because once a week we need to put up a guest in our home office. This Roll-Away was pretty easy to put together, if you just take your time, and follow the clear instructions. (Note: They give you an extra bolt, nut or washer in each little bag... "just in case." ) It folds up neatly and includes a cover which was unexpected. The mattress is very firm, maybe too firm for some people's liking. We considered getting a mattress topper, but that would make it too thick. I'm 225lbs, and our guests have been as much as 260lbs. The bed is solid, and comfortable, and didn't move much when opened on our hardwood floors. It is large, and bulky. I don't know that it would be easy to move up and down steps, particularly on your own. We store it in a large closet in our guest room on the same floor where we use it.

Overall a good product for the money. Easy to assemble, Strong enough for 300 lbs easily & lightweight and the size is just perfect. I docked it one star for having to tighten wing nuts that can easily get lost during transport (need change design to a pin instead of a nut) and a 2nd star because of the 2" casters which I felt were skimpy and not good over rough floors. If they upgrade the casters to 3" and switched to a pin for the support arms it would be a 5 star product especially at the selling price.

Like other customers noted I added a mattress topper to this product to give it a little more cushion. The mattress is firm and my houseguests have declared it “more comfortable than their bed at home”. The only issue is the dust cover is too tight and catches in the wing nuts and tears when trying to put on or remove and so that has already been tossed out.

I needed an exercise table with a cushion, as I have trouble getting up from the floor. All the sturdy exercise tables that I saw were usually too short and cost more than I wanted to spend. I saw this bed a decided to try it, it had everything I needed. Plus it can be folded up and moved easily on the built in wheels. It was easy to put together and works perfectly for what I needed.
