We bought this because once a week we need to put up a guest in our home office. This Roll-Away was pretty easy to put together, if you just take your time, and follow the clear instructions. (Note: They give you an extra bolt, nut or washer in each little bag... "just in case." ) It folds up neatly and includes a cover which was unexpected. The mattress is very firm, maybe too firm for some people's liking. We considered getting a mattress topper, but that would make it too thick. I'm 225lbs, and our guests have been as much as 260lbs. The bed is solid, and comfortable, and didn't move much when opened on our hardwood floors. It is large, and bulky. I don't know that it would be easy to move up and down steps, particularly on your own. We store it in a large closet in our guest room on the same floor where we use it. ... show more

I needed an exercise table with a cushion, as I have trouble getting up from the floor. All the sturdy exercise tables that I saw were usually too short and cost more than I wanted to spend. I saw this bed a decided to try it, it had everything I needed. Plus it can be folded up and moved easily on the built in wheels. Might be okay for a kid but as far as an adult. Mattress isn't just simply firm. It's HARD. No comfort to be doing with this thing. If you have guest's coming that you don't like and that you don't want to stay long this is what you need.
